I worked at Central Freight Lines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work and balance life for sales. Great interacting with customers, and some employees.

    Cons

Below average pay for a sales position in the LTL industry. I started off with the company in Corpus Christi TX and was offered to move to San Antonio with the hopes of a raise and a company car. I received neither, and my work load tripled. When I asked about what was promised my manager told me very rudely that I would not be getting any raises and to stop asking. From here on out I was under a microscope and eventually let go do to "Performance" but was never below my goals. I was being held to a quota that the previous sales rep has, but had many major shippers taken away and was able to achieve it anyway. Even with that, I was told that I was not doing good enough. This company has a habit of shooting themselves in the foot. Any new business you work towards gaining, they WILL find a way to screw it up. In short, the benefits are a joke, the pay is well below average, and you do not work with a team mentality. Management does not listen to sales and don't care. When I needed help with a customer of mine, my boss laughed at me and told me to figure it out. Extremely un professional. All in all, work here at your own risk.

    Advice to Management

Don't laugh and belittle your employees for needing help with anything. You get paid to help your team, do it. Also, don't promise an employee something and fail to deliver with a bait and switch tactic.
