    Growing company

    Pros

Central Logic has really expanded its place in the market with two acquisitions and adjusting its offerings to better match the hospital system’s needs. While headquartered in St. Paul, they employee people across the country and also have offices in Utah, Mass, and Neb. Central Logic makes an effort to keep the whole company informed on company direction and progress, leveraging a short weekly standup for this purpose and another short weekly meeting focused on the combined company employees getting to know each other. The latter is real useful for three companies and other net new employees that have come together. COVID has made us have to switch to working from home and there currently isn’t plans to go back to being in the office all the time. This has removed the commute for me which has provided more productive work time and contributed to a much better work/life balance. The pay seems to be average to above average and benefits are competitive. One big positive is the work we are doing. The product/services/solution we provide helps hospital systems better serve their population. Something to be proud of.

    Cons

Communication can be a challenge with multiple companies coming together. Leveraging Slack and other tools helps take care of this but it is something a new person would want to get their arms around.

An up and coming healthcare technology organization

    Pros

Central Logic has been a breath of fresh air in my career. They just recently acquired the organization I was working for and while these transitions can be hard I have to say that Central Logic has a very clear vision of where they want to go and defined goals to get there. It's exciting to come to work everyday and focus on our mission of enabling health systems to 'Operate as One' through improved access and orchestration.

    Cons

Any cons I would mention right now likely have to do with being in a heavy growth and acquisition period. Confident that these will likely work themselves out over time as we merge three companies into one.

    Pros

Ambitious company with lots of opportunity for growth.

    Cons

Must be willing to go above and beyond as apart of the daily routine as position impact patient care. Requires a major attention to technical detail and output.

    Pros

Great company to work for. The managers care about the welfare of the employees and do their best despite limited resources. Flexible time off and great colleagues. Very laid back atmosphere.

    Cons

Still in a startup phase with the challenges -- primarily financial -- that that brings. No 401k, health insurance is okay, multiple products with not a lot of clear direction.

    Inconsistent culture

    Pros

The company is growing and working to expand offerings.

    Cons

There are some really toxic practices here. Micromanagers, lack of accountability, selfish and self-centered leadership. And it is much more siloed than it believes itself to be.

The goal is making money, not quality software

    Pros

    Flexible PTO, remote during pandemic

    Cons

They've hired so many people to help customers work through challenges they have with our software. Yet they skimp on hiring people in the Product and Development departments, where we could actually fix things at the root of the problem. Very few processes in place to give structure to the work. Not impressed by management, up to and including CTO. No raises in 2020 with no explanation.

    Not great

    Pros

Pays well; unlimited PTO; a couple of nice people work there

    Cons

There is another review below by a CSM that could have been written by me as well. They do not seem to know how to engage or encourage employees to want to do their best for the organization; seem to be struggling to find their place and uninformed about the rest of the industry and where their place is in the overall healthcare market. Perceive acquiring companies will solve their problems but then don't understand what to do with them once they come aboard. Nitpicking occurs frequently within some teams. Although there is unlimited PTO, it is common to work 60+ hours on the regular.
