    Pros

This position was a seasonal position so was only minimum wage. The good thing was it provided opportunity to hone customer relations an sales skills. Management was friendly and focused on the heartbeat of the business, providing a fun and stress free environment to work.

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunity to advance in position or pay on the retail side. The particular store in which I worked minimized operating costs by paying way below the stores national average pay for book sellers (avg: $9.00 vs act: $7.25). Manager was commended by upper management for a well run store within budgeted operation costs. The minimum wage paynimum wage paynimum wage pay allows the manager to increase book seller staff for increased seasonal sales

    Great place to work!

    Jun 25, 2014 - Program Assistant

    Pros

flexible work schedules and work locations depending on your department. Very relaxed atmosphere at satellite campuses. Good benefits, little to no cost for benefit premiums. Good culture and down to earth people to work with. Fun environment. Vacation and sick accrued separately with option to roll over certain amount of hours. Holiday schedule followed public school system, even on snow days.

    Cons

Odds of getting promoted or moving to higher position was very slim. Hard to get out of the department you're in. Budget issues caused little to no pay raises for a number of years as well as furloughs. Some areas have micromanagers. Some positions are budget based and could be eliminated at any time. Constant departmental changes within management.
