Some good reasons to work in Academic Advising is the leadership is understanding of their team members. They are health benefits, vision, dental, and more. You get holidays paid time off.
Cons
Some cons is that the moral is currently low due to institutional changes. There is not flexibility from working from home even though all aspects of the college where proven to be functional while remote. The salaries are also low for the type of work the is expected.

Honestly, none that I can think of.
Cons
This is a community college operating like a business. Salaries are nowhere near competitive unless you're upper administration. Many promises are always given, none are fulfilled. Turn around is extremely high, expect to be given things that are not in the scope of your position with little to no instruction.
