    Pros

They are easy to work for and pay good from my prospective. They are good people and fun to work with from What I see.

    Cons

They work at night. They also go to different states. You are home every day. The trucks look new but the trailers looks like they need some attention.

I worked at Central Transport full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Paycheck, paycheck, paycheck, paycheck, Great way to see how NOT to treat employees. There are some genuinely good people there, but not in management.

    Cons

They treat people like numbers, don't care at all. Money is the bottom line, if they can save $1 by getting rid of you and putting another person in the job, they sure will. 'Hey train this new hire to do your job so we have aa backup' GONE

    Advice to Management

Treat employees better. Stop lying to them all the time.

I worked at Central Transport full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Paid weekly. But they are three weeks behind. Able to move to different locations. But you have to sign a contract.

    Cons

This company is the equivalent of unprofessional. Where do I start? The location I worked at was so understaff. They didn't have dock workers so the drivers and a TOTAL of 3 in office staff had to unload the trucks. This wouldn't be a problem if they didn't force the drivers to punch out after 90 minutes. This didn't matter if the trucks were done being unloaded or not. The drivers get a 30 minute warnings before they will be punched out, and only corporate can give them more time. This became an issue, corporate either was never available or will say they will call you back. By the time they do call it was too late. It then became the job of the inbound/outbound supervisor to unload the trucks and put the freight in an outbound trailer or trap for the next day delivery. Be prepared to work 11-12 hour days maybe more without overtime pay. This is a salary position so enjoy working 60 plus hours a week making the same check as working 40 hours. They had a motto at my terminal, "Sink or Swim". That would be okay if I was actually trained. When I was training I was pretty much told what to do while my terminal manager or inbound supervisor was 10 feet away running in and out of the dock to unload freight. I couldn't really blame them for not being able to invest their time in training me. I'm sure they didn't want to work 14 hour days themselves by shadowing me on the computer to make sure I was doing everything correctly and then having to run back and forth to the dock. But, if you're going to bring in a new hire you should have a dock worker who can work 30 hours a week. That could have done wonders in believing the company wants to invest in their terminals. However, I didn't see that at all. From the moment I was hired all I heard about was people quitting. A terminal manager at a different location had been asking for help; things like dock workers and more trailers at his location and his bosses/corporate told him to find another way. He found another way alright....right out the door with NO notice. I couldn't even blame him. This guy was working close to 70 hours a week and was asking for help for months. I wouldn't recommend working here unless it's a last resort. I swear my terminal manager wasn't even happy. He threatened to quit every day. The guy I replaced wanted to quit. But, he saw this job as a way out. They have so many openings at other locations in the United States because of the high turnover so if you always wanted to move to Houston or Vegas or San Diego you could. They will cover your moving expenses and give you a small raise for doing so. However, you do have to sign a two year contract. The guy I replaced told me the minute his time was up he's gone. So, if you can put up with this place for at least 3 years all power to you! But that's the only way I'd recommend working here. Work your two years and find something better.

    Cons

I worked at Central Transport full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You can learn how to operate a forklift if you get in.

    Cons

They have no respect for you at all. You will be working long hours and they will be switching your schedule to suit their needs with out notice. There is no time and a half until 55 hrs. I could write a book about this place and all the garbage they will put you through. I love to work and make money, but when management thinks they can talk to you like your less than what you are and work you into the ground without paying you correctly. That is when it becomes a problem. If you don't mind being disrespected and not being paid correctly. This is the perfect company for you.

    Advice to Management

This whole company is corrupt. It needs to be investigated. A Union would fix a lot of the schemes they are pulling. I mean a lot of schemes.
