I have been working at Centurum full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The staff and management are good people, and the SC leadership is world class. The company benefits are good, I was able to finish a degree using the tuition reimbursement. They encourage professional training and growth, and value their employees.

    Cons

There is currently no 401k match.

I have been working at Centurum full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great place to work. They really take a common sense approach in how they do business. Supervisors are proactive and willing to reach out to their team members so they can know the people under their charge.

    Cons

I haven't came across any Cons. Contract ended and leadership actively tried to find a place for my skill set, however there weren't any opening in other departments. Wish I could have stayed.

    Advice to Management

Keep striving to be the prime on all your contracts. You have great employees and it's a shame when you have to let them go due to a technicality.

Distinguish your senior techs from your juniors and pay them what they're worth.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Centurum full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Learning how a company should not be ran. Gave me new warning signs of detecting a reject fly by nite organization

    Cons

Working for these guys abroad you are on your own, these frauds lie about their contracts. The pay is subpar no per diem paid and these guy are only looking out for their best interest no the people in the field. Any one who complains is threatened to be sent home. These are the words from a PM And there is no sense of belonging to this company from corporate. Do not follow their own code of conduct nor ethics. Total waste of time and dignity

    Advice to Management

People jumping ship is an indication that you treatment of them is Effed UP!

I have been working at Centurum full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working with mostly other Navy veterans and excellent management at the Chesapeake location. Great team to work with.

    Cons

As government contractors we have a lot of requirements to keep up with but I think that's normal in this industry. Used to get 401k matching, not anymore!!!

    Advice to Management

Bring back 401k matching, more investment in employee education and retention.

    Cons

no 401k matching, non-competitive pay, no raises (not even yearly inflation raises), job titles do not match the job

    Advice to Management

bid higher on contracts and pay higher salaries, everybody is jumping ship for a reason

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

I cannot even think of something positive to write here except that they give all federal holidays off and that's even a stretch

    Cons

This company has been dragging down work moral since they stepped foot in the depot. The leads and management have no clue on how to run things on a professional level. They have begun to micro manage the employees thinking it will help them track lost money from previous jobs. Management has no relationship with the employees. They went bare minimum of last year's Christmas party without any gifts or entertainment. They do not match 401k and the rest of their benefits are horrible! Hopefully a more reputable company will take over the next contact and save this ship from sinking!

    Advice to Management

Bullying and micro managing the employees is not the answer to being more productive. Their are professional ways to deal with certain situations. Stop swallowing everything your fed from people who don't have the experience or knowledge to make decisions. Look at things from the employees perspective and ask THEM what can help make their job easier. Because there is no management without the employee. Show some sort of appreciation and I bet you will see a turn around.

    Better consistency
