I have been working at Century 21 Department Stores full-time

    Pros

Some co-workers have the ability to make your job fun as well as make your day go faster.

    Cons

There definitely needs to be more structure within the company. People take their titles way to seriously and others give those way too much power. Management also has favorites and it is obvious.

    Advice to Management

We are all people despite our titles, you should treat your employees all equally.

    Pros

Honestly, none. The discount, if you care about that.

    Cons

I would leave 0 stars if I could. They act like they care about progress but the reality is they're a very old company that can't keep up. They don't care about advancement. VERY poor communication throughout the entire company.

    Advice to Management

Change your structure. People aren't happy.

I worked at Century 21 Department Stores full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Union based job, 20% employee discount. It’s a good entry level job that will build you and prepare for something greater although at the time i was miserable. I was employed 4 years ago so I’m sure much has changed. They actively tried to do surveys on how they could improve, but did nothing to improve. But I guess it’s the thought that counts. Right?

    Cons

-little pay especially for the nonsense you deal with. I honestly don’t know how I didn’t become homeless living off what I was making.
    - no rewards, no real bonus structure or commission. I don’t to this day understand why this is in place aside from company greed.
    - management was harassing and would borderline stalk you while at work, standing away from you and just watch everything you do. it was very creepy.
    - I literally had a mental breakdown while working there. High turnover because people were being paid so low. While I was there I made $11 as a beauty advisor, which is horrible and I was one of the highest paid people in my department and probably store. And once again, there was no bonus or commission structure. You’re better off trying for a position at a drug store or grocery store.

    Advice to Management

I would rather not waste my time writing my feelings to them because they cdon’t care.
