    Pros

Billion dollar company so lots of different areas to move to

    Cons

This company needs a strong leader because the owner has stretched himself to thin with his many areas of business decisions are not made and it makes it hard to complete your assigned tasks as they change each day because of this lack of management. If you need direction, kuddos, or compensation for goals met this is not the company for you.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Century 21 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice agents, pleasant clients, nice location.

    Cons

Owner of thus franchise owns 8 locations. If you're a realtor they take a large percentage of your commission but offer little benefit. The receptionist and other support staff are denied breaks and lunch, yet they aren't paid for lunch and have to say that the take one each day even though they have to eat at their desk quickly while working. Receptionists who have worked here 10 years without raises.

    Advice to Management

    Pay and treat people fairly.

    Pros

good training and great attention if you're a top producer. lots of agents are in the office all times of the day making for a good work environment.

    Cons

the owner will recruit you into the company and for a few days, he will make you feel like you're the most important person in the company then he becomes unavailable. he said he would mentor me personally then he passed me along to a "productivity coach."

    Advice to Management

get with the times and stop with the mike ferry.

I worked at Century 21 as a contractor

    Pros

Size of company enabled market recognition. Daily education available- good for the first year. Repetitious after that. Had some unique activities. Strong emphasis on the C21 brand

    Cons

Lots of overhead and nepotism that agent commissions had to support. Old business model style favoring the broker. Industry trainer high turnover. Lots of favoritism for some and very low rewards for consistent producers.
Lacked overall professionalism in a variety of areas. Broke client confidentiality on a daily basis. Some management way too involved in agent's transactions.

    Advice to Management

The world is changing. Not everyone wants to blindly follow your system. There are many successful ways to succeed in Real Estate. Encourage individualism and personal growth.

I truly enjoy my coworkers and the work I do. It is a lovely office in a good location, with reasonable hours

    Cons

Overworked, underpaid. When an employee leaves they are not replaces, their workload is just assigned to another person.

    Advice to Management

Pay employees appropriate wages for the amount of work they perform.

I worked at Century 21 (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone seemed really sweet, and it was a family environment. Each office is difference, and mine strove for success. The workplace was always filled with positive energy and affirmations. The company itself is awesome! And I know many amazing agents who have had wonderful experiences. I however, had a poor work experience there

    Cons

What in the world was my job. I came on as an ISA, which wasn't explained well to me. I thought that my position entailed emailing, calling, and maintaining positive relations with clients, past, present, and future. I loved giving information to everyone, helping them find the perfect home, but I was pushed to sell sell sell. My contract was changed in an attempt to "let (me) see my money faster," when in actuality, taking away any type of base pay took away the ability for me to actually pay bills with my pay. The management seems very sweet, but are extremely non-confrontational. After assisting with the close of 2 homes, I resigned, thinking that upon the close of escrow, I would see the money I had worked hard to earn. Silly me! The managment dodged my calls, texts and emails for weeks, before quoting a part of a contract that is different from the last revision I signed, saying that I was no longer entitled to the almost $1000 I had earned, since I left a week before the first home officially closed, and 2 weeks before the close of the second.

    Advice to Management

Create a clear plan for your employees, and make sure they know what they are supposed to do. Don't avoid the difficult conversations. Pick up the phone, and call back. Don't hide behind an email and fake smile. It is important to have clear communications and understandings of contracts. Also, each employee, or 1099 worker, whichever, should always receive copies of the contracts that they sign. all of them.

    Pros

They have been in business a long time. They will make you feel special but not by paying you

    Cons

getting a raise or making as much as you should for how you do is a literal joke.

    Advice to Management

    none.
