I worked at Century Aluminum full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The majority of employees are good workers. Yes there are some that management should have weeded out during their probation but they slipped through. Pay is good.

    Cons

Upper management are clueless. Century hires and promotes people that have no clue how to run a business, have very little people skills. It's their way or nothing at all. Constantly threatens supervisors jobs on a weekly basis and micro manages everything. The morale sucks there, Upper management always belittling the back bone of the company. What makes it worse they have their buddy system which, if your not in their click well your scum and are treated as such. They are always beating their employees down. That place is always filled with DRAMA!

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the clueless inexperienced upper management before they tear your company down. Too many people don't care anymore and hate coming to work wondering if they are going to get wrote up or fired because the upper management are in a bad mood. TAKE CARE and RESPECT the one's that are making your millions for you!!!
