I worked at Century Park Associates full-time

    Pros

Great family atmosphere. It feels more like your interacting with family than just doing a job. The benefits are the best I've ever had. Staff is willing to step in and help if needed.

    Cons

Not much room for advancement. Only 7 1/2 hour shifts. Need more help during dinner time.

    Advice to Management

Be willing to give your staff a weekend off when short staff, remember they want to spend time with their love ones on weekends also. Remember that we are people too, it's not what you say, but how you say it.

I worked at Century Park Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The residents...and that's about it

    Cons

Terrible management. Executive Directors who could care less about employees or residents. They just love having power. The manager we had was always blaming everyone else for her inadequacies. She had TERRIBLE mood swings and took her anger out on any staff that were around.

    Advice to Management

Need more training. Less criticism. Let department managers do their jobs.

I worked at Century Park Associates full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Residents. But hard to have a good relationship with all the bad things that happen.

    Cons

Support from the top is non existent. Employees are not good people, not even close to good care-givers. Orientation is a joke, the nursing department is sad and in turmoil. Saw it every single day.

    Advice to Management

    Look Deep

    Cons

The pay is low so I decided to go back to school.

I worked at Century Park Associates full-time

    Pros

The only pros were making a couple of friends from this place and the residents who touched my heart. The residents made it worth my while and a few employees were always kind to me.

    Cons

First of all the company and manager seemed very nice and easy going facilty but needless to say I was wrong! Only a few months into my job I realized that working for this company was not for me. Getting paid way under the recommendation for a college graduate and not getting the proper respect I deserved took its toll. I found out that a housekeeper made the same salary as I did! I didn't go to school to get paid a little above minimum wage and getting treated and worked like a dog. If you apply for The Bridge BE AWARE! I've never worked at a place that was so unorganized as this one.

    Advice to Management

The management here currently needs a lot of work and is very unprofessional. I would replace the general manager here and find someone who actually knows how to do their job.

    Pros

Beautiful place, lovely residents. Easy to interact with residents. Family members were very nice as well. Did I say nice looking facility.

    Cons

Part-time was a joke. 4 hrs a day! lack of professionalism in managers, and up. Priorities were not always to care for resident. look elsewhere.

I worked at Century Park Associates full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It's a beautiful place. Love the residents and have several good people working there.

    Cons

It doesn't matter if you are a hard worker or not. You will get replaced if the GM has someone they know to put in your place. It's sad that this company does not stand up for it's loyal employee's. There has been a mass of new hires, and terminations.

    Advice to Management

When you put General Managers in place, keep in touch with your loyal employee's to find out how things are going. They seem to just drop them off, and don't want to hear from anyone. Terrible mistake.

    Pros

Caring group of individuals providing quality care at affordable rates. They care enough to invest solid sales training for their Sales Managers.

    Cons

All efforts to promote our community must be done by corporate, ie social networking, ads, flyers, etc. Low paying by industry standards.

    Advice to Management

Allow each community to post to social networking. Don't promote that you have a matching 401K then announce 2 weeks after signing on that you justt can't do it in this economy.
