I worked at Cerami & Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You learn a lot, the firm has a good reputation so you get to work on notable projects, and are compensated very well.

    Cons

There is no work/life balance, constantly changing priorities and goals, and poor communication.

    Advice to Management

Do what you say, set a plan and follow it, and when an employee is having an issue actually care about it rather then hope it goes away.

I have been working at Cerami & Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - It’s a great company to enter the industry with and with them being in business for 50+ years other companies will pay top dollar once you leave
    - the CEO is very friendly and down to earth from the most part

    Cons

    - Upper management sucks and a lot of them don’t respect employees below them
    - project managers don’t communicate well
    - people are stuck up and rude there
    - be prepared to work very long hours and now be rewarded or even acknowledged for your hard work and dedication
    - my first year there 26 people left the company don’t be alarmed or scared for that is a regular occurrence at this phone

    Advice to Management

HR needs to be present and build a proper relationship with the employees because they’re a lot of unhappy campers wait to jump ship

    Pros

Great benefits if you are willing to trade your sanity for them. There are a few good people but not enough to make up for the difference...

    Cons

Horrible management, no direction, everyone believes to be someone’s boss, people will smile and cheer you on until you walk away and then they stab you in the back, you don’t have to work or actually do a good job as long as you constantly say you work too hard and do an excellent job It will suffice for you to get credit while the ones that actually do work hard keep getting blamed for the shortcomings of the ones that don’t. The list can go on indefinitely... rodent problems (unless you enjoy cleaning up rat droppings from your desk in the mornings), lack of adequate quiet space to concentrate, bathroom shortages, AC that constantly fails, extremely high turnover even at senior management level.....etc....etc....etc...

    Advice to Management

Don’t just claim to want this to be the best place to work in NY, but rather actually try to do that. Get rid of the non performers and the disrespectful staff and the work environment shall improve tremendously just from that alone!

I worked at Cerami & Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Location, compensation, bonus, health benefits, flex schedule, friendly and professional peers, loose work environment most of the times.

    Cons

Politics and Riffs from management level, many times affected the staff negatively.

    Advice to Management

Management should communicate with the employee before falsely accusing and dismissing said employee of wrongdoing. Honesty and Integrity are the only policies to live by.
