    I worked at Ceridian full-time

    Pros

Coworkers are the best. Most people are very caring and approach work with the team in mind.

    Cons

Over the years, the concern for the employees and their families in all areas has deteriorated to the point that it is unrecognizable from the company that hired me.

    Advice to Management

Care for your employees like they are human beings.

    Pros

They offer flexibility with working from home, or split between office and home. Dayforce is a very configurable system, clients like it.

    Cons

Change every day. I understand that it's good to evolve as a company but new processes seem to be rolling out weekly, before you even had a chance to get a handle on the previous week. There are so many internal systems to access for information it makes it overwhelming and time consuming to find anything. Training on the new processes is brief and confusing.

    Advice to Management

I know you're excited to roll stuff out, but let people catch their breath.

I worked at Ceridian full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work from home, PDO, decent pay...that's about it.
They are trying as hard as they can to make it a great place to be while saving face. Kudos.

    Cons

In their defense, Dayforce is a new product. However, there is a MAJOR lack of knowledge of the product within support and management of support, partially due to high turnover, burnouts are common. There is no training for Application Analysts so they're stuck in a "sink or swim" environment. Encouraged to ask for help...good luck finding someone that's not swamped or even knows what you're talking about. Completely siloed, Apps not communicating with Devs, DBAs, or Implementation regularly about the ridiculous number of hotfixes that break other things in the app. Had several clients tell me that they hate how many problems they encounter daily. Not an analytical role from a DB standpoint, most issues are fixed in the UI so you won't be using SQL much. Antiquated processes for having resolutions approved and applied, wasting time. Tools dont work or are really glitchy most of the time. Mentor program is a joke, mentors are normally just as clueless as you and never around. You are only as important as the number of tickets you resolve. Your reward for being great is more tickets and more difficult tickets. If you don't accept your reward you'll more than likely be let go.

    Advice to Management

Expectations are unrealistic with Dayforce's steep learning curve. Rethink how AA's are trained so that they are confident in their role from day 1. Consider training CSTS that have experience with the app into AA roles. Also, hire a BlackBelt to make approval processes and communication more efficient.

    Pros

Flexible work/life balance. Everyone is very friendly.

    Cons

No promotion available with in the department

    Advice to Management

Provide bonus. For the most part everyone is content, no upward mobility in the company can hurt longevity. Especially for someone who is ambitious.

    Pros

Good pay, company tries to make work/personal life balance

    Cons

Management changes, newer product is making older product live in shadows.

    Advice to Management

Think about the customers who are still on old product, they need support and system upgrades too. Do not overlook current employees who can make a difference. Don't let Ed Z. do meetings, he stinks.

There are no Pro's for this company at all.

I have been working at Ceridian (More than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros. Not a good company.

    Cons

Ceridian is not a good company to work for at all. There training system suck. They put you through this crazy training for a week or so and then throw you out there in the call center to be an expert on these calls. There has been a reorganization change where St. Pete is now over Atlanta. I've never seen so many unprofessional so call women in management ever in my life. Very clickish, I'm not sure how they got all these ratings. Everyone is not meant to be in management. Little do you know yr Atlanta team is gonna be gone in a blank of an eye because of all the division between St. Pete and Atlanta. This is not work life balance at all unless yr the management's friend or yr n tha t click. Everyone looking for new job's. The worst company I ever worked for.

    Advice to Management

You need to reevaluate your management team. Listen to yr employee's. Take yr heads out of yr butts and open yr eye's and see the big pic. You need to treat everyone equally.

    Cons

They do not pay contract providers. You have to keep begging and insisting to be paid and then they quicly terminate you. The staff are rude on the phone. Paperwork is very confusing and they are very nick picky and will completely ignore any claim submitted. Then you have beg and they tell you they paid it already and 6 weeks later you are still waiting for the check. Also the pay rate is low and its just not worth the headache and time to do any work for this horrible EAP
