    Pros

Fair management team in Malvern, fast moving environment, many areas are looking into using the latest technologies

    Cons

Push for younger workforce made me feel unwelcome at times

    Advice to Management

Encourage work-life balance and respect experienced workers

I have been working at Cerner full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company provides extensive training if you are entry-level and will develop you into professional associate if you allow them. Traveling allows for travel perks. Can determine own schedule with travel and client.

    Cons

Work/Life balance can get out of hand sometimes. Company sometimes values their clients over their own employees.

    Advice to Management

Focus on your travel associates more. From my understanding efforts are being made, but it is a slow process and employees are eager to know they are appreciated and valued.

    Pros

    Excellent tech conference called DevCon

    Cons

Employee contribution to benefits keeps increasing

    Advice to Management

Not all senior managers are captivating speakers. If you aren't good at it, leave it to someone else.

I have been working at Cerner full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The great thing about Cerner is there is room for growth. Get your foot in the door and you will be able to move around the company with hard work. I also enjoy all the amenities they provide, which counteracts the low salary range (a little)

    Cons

Being Entry Level in HR depending on your manager you will feel like you have a babysitter hovering over your shoulder to make sure things are getting done. Once I transferred to a slightly different role, the manager respect was much better.

    Advice to Management

Trust your associates. If things are getting done, that is when you check-in, don't start with daily/weekly check-ins.

I worked at Cerner (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great energy in a blossoming industry, lots of opportunities to travel, casual dress code, incredible training department

    Cons

Too much burden to always be "on", people tend to forget that it's not a 24/7 job and it consumes them.

Lots of hidden gems of employees that get stuck in the same job/role without opportunity for advancing thus leaving the company at 5-7 year mark

    Advice to Management

Promote from within, follow the original mission and vision of this great company.

I have been working at Cerner full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good products and vision. Upper management is accessible and connected to the workforce via town hall style meetings and internal blogs where they seem more open than senior management at other large companies I've worked for. Benefits and compensation are competitive. Cerner is becoming more progressive with regard to remote employees following their acquisition of Siemens health services in 2015.

    Cons

Large enough that there are times where one branch of the organization is somewhat unaware of the existence of another.

    Advice to Management

Continue to share corporate vision and challenges with the rank and file--we listen and want to achieve success for our company.
