Cerner really cares about their interns, and really try to have you work on meaningful projects. My experience was great, very friendly people and mangers. Everyone wants you to succeed.

I worked at Cerner full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Cerner is a huge company, and therefore you will meet many people. Their training program is structured, and the company culture encourages you to befriend and work with others.

When you are assigned a project, you are placed with a advising consultant. You also will get a manager. This hierarchy is good for supporting new hires and making sure they can do quality work.

Despite claims of bureaucracy, I would say that upper management is good at responding to e-mails.

    Cons

    - Very low pay if this is an entry-level job for you
    - Unclear metrics for performance
    - The location at which you are working can change on a whim.
    - "It depends" -ism -- meaning instead of saying "I don't know", people give you a "could be this, could be that" type of answer

    Advice to Management

I would recommend that you have new consulting analysts shadow some projects as a part of training before assigning them a client.
