    Pros

Leadership is helping guide Oracle Cerner to the Future. This company is paving the way of the future of healthcare.

    Cons

Nothing with promotions or role changes happens quick, HR makes the process so long that great assets are leaving due to the long lead times changes internally take.

Your experience working at Cerner will be what you make it

    Pros

Ample opportunity for career growth and advancement. New innovations in technology ensures organizational processes and job responsibilities are constantly evolving. If you're motivated and you stick around for awhile, you'll be able to look back on your career and be stunned by the depth of knowledge you've acquired and proud of how much you've contributed to your fellow associates and the clients we serve.

    Cons

Like many big companies, you are often at the mercy of leaders you will never meet who will never know you. When you are at the "ground level" and you see a problem that you know will have significant consequences if not addressed, if you don't have the ear of a director or an exec who hears your voice as clearly as they hear anyone else's, you might find yourself losing hope in your leadership's ability to give you the resources you need to meet your client's most basic needs. Sometimes you have to watch your clients lose hope too. In order to be effective, you have to learn how to have a big voice, be tirelessly persistent, and be as prescriptive as possible...and hope that's enough.

    Pros

Great team to work with, and very relaxed culture within the direct care space. Everybody is very knowledgeable and willing to help. Eligible for promotion or to move to a new position in the company after 16 months.

    Cons

Very heavy workload has resulted in increased burnout of team members, and management refuses to fill in the space that was lost due to attrition. Quality of training for new hires varies depending on what team member is available.

Cerner has a great work-life balance. Managers are very flexible to work with your personal life. Now that most of us work from home it has gotten more flexible.
