I worked at Champion Industries as an intern (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get introduced to a work family that becomes your second family.

    Cons

A lot of trouble in the industries that Champion is involved with, in return leaves employees to sacrifice with lesser pay than some could achieve elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Advice from me wouldn't do any good that the management team isn't aware of already. Management is more than capable to achieve great success or at least give it their last dying breath to see the company's heart continue to beat.

I worked at Champion Industries full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Learned a great deal about business and people.

    Cons

Still currently employs older generation that have been with the company for many many years and resist change that is key for the success of the company but new management has done well to counter that and is progressively making new winds blow.

    Pros

The people. Greatest co-workers around! The ones who care about their work truly try to do the best job around. Many many years of experience as well in the building.

    Cons

The company doesn't pay well at all. No advancement and no care about growth by upper management. You're just there to do a job and go home.

    Advice to Management

Grow and expand. Try new things to bring the company in the next century. Some core values are great but it's a good ole boy network and because of poor pay some don't care about the work. See pros for exceptions

I worked at Champion Industries full-time

    Pros

People. The people are great to work with. They are what I miss most. Not only the ones I already worked with from being "bought" by this company, but the new people we met along the way. Before I left the benefits were top-notch (compared to what I have now!) I don't know what they are like now. Flexible work schedule. Perfect for someone just starting their career.

    Cons

Antiquated. Not forward-thinking. It felt like the good-ol-boys club and any input on a better way, different way of doing things was not accepted.
