I have been working at Champs Sports part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's not hard to learn how to operate in the store, If you work hard and long enough sometimes you can grow in the company, you get a discount and first dibs on new releases, flexible hours depending on how nice your manager is.

    Cons

The way the company is set up requires sales associates to stay sales associates for a long time, meaning that if you became a sales associate and kept that position for a year, you cant expect your manager to want to promote you immediately. The company NEEDS people who don't want to progress in the company so you may have to work extra hard and put yourself out there if you want to be promoted.

    Advice to Management

BE NICE!!! don't let the fact that you get paid more think its okay to talk to your employees like you're above them.. if your sales associates don't bring in money, you don't get that bonus so treat them with respect and be kind.

I have been working at Champs Sports part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Getting guaranteed shoes on limited releases. 30% off of everything and three times a year you get 50% off everything in the store.

    Cons

You don’t make much money when your store isn’t that busy. If you work at a low valume store you won’t get limited releases.

    Advice to Management

Don’t schedule too many people to work on the same day because it’s hard to split the commission between everyone that’s working.

I worked at Champs Sports part-time

    Pros

Great discount, flexible hours, biannual 50% off

    Cons

Petty/catty behavior from coworkers, I worked at a popular location so we often had to share hours which cut into the part timers hours

I worked at Champs Sports part-time

    Pros

Pros were engaging with customers and being able to help out and manage money. I enjoyed it for a high school and I'm still pretty cool with the employees.

    Cons

I didn't like how I was only a junior and working over 30 hours a week. Other than that, it wasn't too bad. More team work.

    Advice to Management

Step it up a little and be more strict on not overworking high school students. Pay more attention on the floor.
