Loved working for this company especially around holiday time. We always got really special holiday gifts form the comapny and our AE. All AE’s were very supportive of the staff and were always trying to promote us in the company.

I worked at Chanel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Discount, Health Benefits, Allowance for Clothing, Pension and 401k, and nothing else I can think of for the time being.

    Cons

Not a company with feedback culture, regardless of whether you solicit it or attempt to provide it professionally. A lot of wheels spinning with no outcome. Over abundance of “collaboration” that leads to no results or too many opinions to make a decision.
In stores, you’ll also find the stereotypical environment one would expect from this type of brand (cattiness, talking behind the back, etc). That said, HQ teams are a bit more down to earth. A lot of fear to ever pull triggers because “this is the way it’s always been done”.
Caution: careful with working for a privately held employer that has no one to report back to but themselves. Decisions (that actually get made) are usually not the best and cause ripple effects of issues down the road.

    Advice to Management

Think about your teams and your people. Your lack of transparency with each other and your teams drives a revolving door and loss of great talent. Don’t keep people in the wrong roles for the sake of not having to upset a higher up (or whatever other reason you can think of) but if there are red flags, tell them about it and give a window of time to improve. Oh, and learn from your mistakes and experiences so you don’t have everyone running in circles endlessly recreating the wheel.
