I have been working at Charles Schwab full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The culture in the workplace is refreshing and the ability to "Own Your Tomorrow" is completely up to you.

    Cons

There are some technological gaps that could be addressed but the majority of earnings are invested back into the clients. At some point, the investment will need to flow back into the infrstructure.

I have been working at Charles Schwab (More than 3 years)

    Pros

One of the most important aspects of life is everything that isn't work. Schwab knows that and the work-life balance is great. At 3 years service, you get 3 weeks a year of vacation, not to mention sick time, bank/national holidays and 2 floating days to boot. Oh, and Schwab also cares about community - 8 hours of paid time-off for community service.

The pay-scale is pretty nice. Commission structure is fair and balanced, so if you put in the work you'll have no problem maxing out your 401k each year.

Great office in Lone Tree - the facilities are top-notch with diverse and flavorful selection of meals in the cafe/grill. Amazing mountain views.

    Cons

It can be stressful in a sales environment - some people don't have the drive for the position and burn out. There is a weekly/monthly/quarterly leaderboard and you are expected to not be on the bottom.

Yearly targets increase year after year.

You're given a book of leads and that's it. Lots of outbound/cold calls.
Hands off from mgmt (though many people thrive in that position). There are slow days/weeks/months so having a pipeline of clients in process is critical. This means the first 6 months on the job your making your base salary only (plus service pay).
