I have been working at Charleston County School District full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of nice people. Low expectations compared to most 'corporate' gigs, but still competent services.

    Cons

Very political. Success/advancement is based more on ability to manipulate more than actual ability/accomplishment. The results of a lot of 'good ol' boy' hiring practices are still being weeded out.

I have been working at Charleston County School District full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There is something new each day. The job keeps you active and on your toes. The funny stories always help me stay driven.

    Cons

The district expects their teachers to preform miracles without the proper support or pay. My class sizes are huge and we have limited access to technology.
