    Pros

    - Friendly teammates in the office environment

    Cons

    - Low pay based on competitors.
    - No so great benefits.
    - This company use to be family oriented with happy employees. Now turnover rate is incredible high. This has resulted in untrained/undertrained people in positions.

    Advice to Management

    - Lots of changes in a short amount of time that aren't beneficial to employees. The numbers and high turnover rate are telling in regards to the benefits of the changes.

I worked at Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat full-time

    Pros

    Working with some good people.

    Cons

Employee's cost for healthcare is far more than other employers charge, including those offered by contracting firms. The healthcare options are also poor, compared with other employers. The only eye care coverage is in-house, and you'll pay more for glasses than buying from competitors.

Holiday, PTO, Sick Pay, and Vacation days are a confusing mess. Even though policy says working 4 hours counts as a full day, your manager can make you use PTO. That can and will happen, even if you finish well over 40 hours for the week.

The job that's described to you when applying and during your interviews is NOT what you'll be doing. The expectations will quickly and unreasonably expand. Their attitude is, now that you're here, you're stuck and will do what we expect.

Many positions are salary, even those that should be identified as non-exempt by the Department of Labor. Your expected work hours will quickly turn into very long work hours and you'll have a poor work/life balance. God help them if the DOL does an audit on their lower-level positions.

They're looking for "bargain" employees. If you have a higher skill set, they'll hire you, but at a pay less than you're worth. You'll then be expected to perform using your full skill set, at the discounted rate. They're expecting Ruth's Chris at a McDonald's price.

    Advice to Management

It's an employee market, pay people what they're worth and then you'll get the results you seek. Change your culture to reflect a true partnership with "lower level employees."

I worked at Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, wonderful team players, very competitive pay, strong partnerships, excellent physicians, and excellent management prepared to do all they can to help you succeed.

    Cons

Possibility that there are negative influences about the office (while few and common almost everywhere) that are tolerated and not given accountability for there actions.

    Advice to Management

Continue pursuing genuine employees, and don't allow political or impersonal thinking guide your decision making. Often you must look for adequate, professional and compassionate employees; Employees who have more to offer to the patients. Having an environment full of those who are in the mind set of: working together, and doing so kindly, not withholding knowledge to trainees, or allowing these negative people "domineering" management's perceptions. This is going to be the greatest attribute management can add to a very successful team and great place to work.
