    Pros

    Great benefits and the hours are good if you have an administrative job.

    Cons

    As an Event Manager I wasn't paid what I felt I was worth to the Company

    Advice to Management

    Pay those that actually facilitate the revenue what they are worth

    I focused on the following; greeting and assisting visitors with a friendly, helpful attitude; assessing visitors immediate needs; and I was the senior/lead point of contact for information.

    I worked at Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Nice place to work. Nice office space. Location is great because it's right in the heart of the city

    Cons

    Needed structure when I was there. Lots on controversy with the board and HR

    Advice to Management

    I wish the department were more unified. Seems like everyone keeps to themselves.

    Working for a local goverment operation.

    Cons

    No support form the Executive management

    Advice to Management

    Clean house and find Sr management that supports ther team members not just them selfs

    Pros

    People are friendly. Describing the orders of the day. Watch were which door to so the returns. Helping out each others, assist with place settings, and working well with each other.

    Cons

    More work, like 2 or 3 days a week. Summer or Winter months.

    Pros

    Once you get I and are able to be patient to to wait for a full time position timeout open up , the culture is great as are the benefits. You will always be up to date on what's going on in. The Queen City regarding tourism so sports hotels concerts films etc

    Cons

    You can't live off of the PT pay. Communication can get lost in translation and not up to date technology methodologies

    Pros

    Diversity is a great focus here. Everyone seems to appreciate each others role and help out other departments (Only on major events).

    Cons

    Politics can become daunting( in the facilities dept.) Not sure about other depts. Not a lot of opportunity for growth even though they like to promote from within.

    Pros

    The staff at CRVA is great, they're all extremely friendly and willing to help you learn. You get to see many different processes and operations during your internship.

    Cons

    Work load is a little low, not always enough to keep you busy. It is difficult to get feedback from supervisors at times.

    Advice to Management

    Create a better structured internship program with set goals, guidelines and things to accomplish. Additionally, allowing more working hours would prove beneficial to participants.
