I worked at Charming Shoppes (Less than a year)

    Pros

They took great care of their employees and made it an engaging place to work...

    Cons

It was such a large company with so many different areas, it was hard to be recognized. But keeping engaged with other areas helped with the transition.

    Advice to Management

Flex time is so important these days with so many active families and employees that are eager to work and grow in their careers. This would be great to contin

I worked at Charming Shoppes full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers, some flexibility with scheduling (still a retail store schedule though)

Decent benefits- PTO hours can be used for sick days, vacation or personal

    Cons

Some micromanaging by DSM's, a lot of conference calls/meetings about store production (KPI's, credit cards, etc)

Not much opportunity to move up in company

    Advice to Management

Better support to employees on the front line

My co-workers were really great. Working for e-comm causes the work/life balance to be a little off. Working from home was a nice perk.

    Cons

Location was not ideal if living in the city. Company events were a little lackluster.
