    Pros

    Enjoyed my coworkers. Nice view.

Super competitive (you don’t get a good section unless you push their rewards card), extensive sidework. Profit before people company. They give you a hard time about being sick or requesting days off. No benefits no sick days no raises.

Tips can be high, but the work environment is equally challenging

    Pros

Really high tips compared to most restaurants

    Cons

Almost no help from support staff, you'll be running most of the first 2 courses yourself, and bussing your table entirely through the course of service. Bussers only reset tables, they don't even refill water. You're solely responsible for your table and there are a million steps of service that corporate expects of you. There used to be a maximum amount of tables any server could take, but I assume labor costs were higher than the manager wanted so they started giving everyone more tables, which lead to it being difficult to give quality service, so you are forced to cut corners and try to focus on the bare minimum based on the perception of each table and their expectations. All the servers I talked to admitted to giving poor service, but because they walked out with high tips, they didn't care. When I would help other servers that were struggling, their table would usually make a comment about their server being incredibly busy and service being slow, but that they were there to have a good time and enjoy the view, so luckily the clientele can be pretty laid back. The sole issue I see here isn't that you're too busy all the time, it's that there are spikes of intense busyness and then lulls, and then spikes, and lulls, and that leads to very slow service occasionally with an extremely stressful challenge for you and a requirement for you to be so on point and perfect to achieve that poor service without it turning into a catastrophe. Whereas, if the support staff helped out more you could smooth the workload and give high quality service and have more control throughout your shift. If you can handle high stress you'll be fine, but those perfect storm moments happen a lot where there is too much on your plate at one moment and not enough time to accomplish everything efficiently, these moments happen at non-peak times and when you don’t have a lot of tables. These are all just my opinions and maybe I’m not good at this style of service, but this is genuinely a more challenging restaurant, but you can expect a much higher reward once you get it down.

    Toxic work environment

    Pros

    Opportunity to make great money.

    Cons

Management afraid of both chef and some other employees. Must pay into meal plan in order to eat the free bread, or drink anything but water. Huge lack of concern for employee safety. Parking is not provided or validated. Pay to park. Inadequate training. I spent more time running stock than learning how to take care of my tables. "Company" rules enforced with only select employees.
