    Pros

Generous vacation, fair pay. Mid-level management wants to see you succeed. Many mid-level managers were promoted from within.

    Cons

Mandatory overtime. Hard to keep up with call volume sometimes.

    Pros

Location was great. Close to home and against the traffic. Restaurant in the building was convenient. That was about it.

    Cons

Salary. Stressful work environment. Leadership was questionable. Allowed people to work and not perform. A real morale buster for high performers.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Charter Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great 401k, vacation time. Decent pay, free internet, tv, phone

    Cons

Culture went way down after Charter acquired Time Warner Cable. They are very strict about staying in your certain silo and micro manage every detail of your day to day duties.

    Advice to Management

Give back the work life balance that existed before the takeover. Give employees the freedom to build relationships outside of their silo. Go back to using PeopleSoft

I worked at Charter Communications full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The medical dental and vision benefits were great and at a low out of pocket cost for employee plus family. Another perk is free cable, internet and voice for your home.

    Cons

Long hours on a salary, not hourly. Expected to be available for daily conferences, one every morning at 10am and one each night at 8:30pm. In between the calls one is expected to be in the field working your account list. Door to door residential sales. Manager calls repeatedly during the day to "check up on you". No breaks or lunches. and Saturdays are required as well. They also do location tracking so they know where you are every minute. The biggest downside is the compensation. $10 an hour with the promise of six figure potential One major flaw with the comm plan. Management controls and moves your installation dates for various reasons. The result-- you miss the commission thresh hold, typically by one sale and then you get NOTHING but the minimum wage base!!! No computers that print in the office nor any sales materials to share with prospective customers. Sales is a revolving door.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees what you promise and stop micro-managing and tracking every move.
