I have been working at Cheesecake Factory full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to advance rapidly. One of the most stable, established, and well thought out concepts.

    Cons

Amount of knowledge and consistent learning needed is time consuming and the quality of life is not comparable to other concepts. Very fast paced and busy at all times which is nice, but same money as other restaurant managers.

    Advice to Management

Pay more... you want the upper echelon then pay for it

I have been working at Cheesecake Factory full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You build a family with your Coworkers.
As a server the tips are decent occasionally above average.
Lots of perks internal with the ability to move up from inside if that is your choice.
Can transfer to any cheesecake in us and abroad after 6 months of employment. and certification.
The company gives back to its local communities and globally many different ways.
Truly is a great place to work

    Cons

Management - occasionally to chronic over stress
    Staffing- chronically under staffed

    Advice to Management

Go back to being a corporate chain that doesn't feel like a chain. Take care of your people and they will appreciate work more.

I had a really good GM, so I was very lucky in that aspect.

I have been working at Cheesecake Factory full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are so many great people that are willing to help you to succeed in your career especially the chefs. Even though there are a variety of foods that just means you can learn so much more.

    Cons

The Cheese Cake Factory has such a big menu. It does take a little bit to know everything that you need to know, which includes recipes, and what plate goes on what. If you want to move up you have to prove yourself even on your own station, but you might have to wait to move up because there are so many people on the line and you don't get your full 40 hours.

    Advice to Management

I don't really have any advice because they all do there best, but I do wish they would give us more hours because nobody can live off 30 hours.
