I have been working at Cheesecake Factory full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They invest a lot in your training, there are a lot of oportunities to grow in the company, its a very friendly work environment, there is a lot of motivation and recognition

    Cons

Advancement is very competitive, pay isn't as good as it should be for a company of this size, communication is lacking, turnover is very high so there are always new people training

    Advice to Management

Take the time to listen to your employees and allow them to work together to solve their own problems. Never take veteran employees for granted, or make anyone feel disposable.

I have been working at Cheesecake Factory part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great money, great gig to get through college. Flexible hours.

    Cons

Management doesn't do a very good job communicating company values, beliefs or mission. It feels as if you're being led blindly. No ACCOUNTABILITY whatsoever. If you want the day off, just call in. They won't fire you... or even write you up for that matter. It's frustrating to those who work hard. I've unfortunately been victim to picking up the slack of lazy workers because the management has no backbone.

    Advice to Management

Become a better middleman between your corporate managers and lower level employees. Instill some accountability into your workforce, and 'trim the fat.'

I worked at Cheesecake Factory part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers and people. Fast paced environment means higher turnover and higher tips.

    Cons

Almost every night is incredibly busy but Fridays and Saturdays seemed like management was running around with their head cut off. Since it gets so busy, maintaining cleanliness is a department Cheesecake Factory is lacking in. Especially the dish room, workers would use plastic silverware instead of the restaurants.

    Advice to Management

Focus on your team and company rather than the bottom dollar. Almost failing a health inspection to the point of immediate shutdown is unacceptable in a restaurant so big. Also get rid of your pretentious management that think they are better than their subordinates. That is unprofessional for management.

    Pros

Coworkers are great, food is great, and sometimes the money is good but varies.

    Cons

The clientele is not great and sometimes deal with terrible people. Management is unorganized.

I have been working at Cheesecake Factory full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

High level experience due to the fact that the menu is one of the biggest in it's category. If you can make it here you can make it anywhere.

    Cons

The only cons are that to make good money you need to do alot of no break doubles it wears you out.

    Advice to Management

    None needed...

    Pros

Great working environment, business at all times of the year (not just during season, I live in Florida).

    Cons

During holidays like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, etc., one would have to work doubles without break. On the bright side, you can always give your shift away, or at least try to.

    Advice to Management

You are definitely in the right direction.

Family atmosphere above all. The ability to grow and learn is of the utmost importance. The Cheesecake Factory allows team members to harness abilities and move forward. Foremost, the pace is fast and the guests are amazing!

    Cons

High pace environment and extensive menu.

I worked at Cheesecake Factory full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people here are amazing and the company is awesome to work for. One of the best server jobs I ever had! Always busy so there is always money to be made.

    Cons

The uniform is not the most comfortable, but its not the worst. The shirts can get messy very easily and need to be replaced. One food run shift is required per week,
