    I have been working at Chelsio Communications full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1. Lot of mutually helping people around who share info across
    2. Collaborative team culture.
    3. Small and agile team, who are willing to work on very tough tasks and challenging tasks.
    4. Nice exposure to the different aspects of a system and work on latest technologies as it is a product company.

    Cons

    1. Being small has its own problems. Harsh climates has toll on it, but could survive till now (16+ years)
    2. Not able to properly streamline its operations many a times causing stress.

    Advice to Management

    1. Should look at streamlining the operations to avoid unwanted stress on people.
    2. Have pointed focus on few bigger clients rather than entertaining lot of clients.
    3. Need more SW people to serve fast changing applications and customer needs.

    Pathetic work.recommended for freshers .but for exp people do not join.

    Cons

    management is very bad .and no updated technology.outdated technology.regular layoffs.they will not take care of employees.

    everything is bad there.

    Pros

    i started as a fresher my first job in chelsio.
    as a fresher in ASIC verification i am learning a lot .very good team work.encouragement from colleagues .good management.very good work to learn and challenging tasks.you will get good knowledge on system verilog and linux environment .and verilog & perl scripting

    Cons

    too much work load.so many things to be done even you are doing some task there is something waiting for you (next task) parallely.

    Pros

    Good to learn about protocols and specifically linux drivers, a very few places you will get such a good experience.
    Real good exposure to Netowkring, storage and virtulisation drivers,

    Cons

    Sometimes too much of work load. Must track customer who has asked for the product, by the time product is out in market, then customer are silent.

    Company must go public (IPO)

    -you have a lot to learn and will learn yourself
    -management will never overload you, you are given plenty time to do a task
    -working environment is also great
    -great support from senior employee and management, they will always understand your requirements

    -being a fresher/experienced, you have to learn everything yourself

    Salary is the first and last cons .. Employer should show that they are willing to pay for the work being done my employess
