    I have been working at Chem-Aqua full-time

    Pros

Chem-Aqua is a great company to work for in the industrial water treatment industry. The flat organizational structure and sales focus provides motivated employees an opportunity to excel and be noticed. Excellent opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

The flat structure can mean juggling many responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in technology to improve sales force efficiency.

    Pros

Great training! They really give you the skills necessary to succeed in the field before throwing you to the sharks. Competitive Salary plus commission.

    Cons

Need to build up a decent size market in your territory before making much on commission.

I have been working at Chem-Aqua full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Came here to read REAL REVIEWS about this company. Must have read approximately 25 or so. You can clearly tell there are the same two people leaving reviews over and over, one negative and one positive. Compare the vocabulary in each. I hate to alert them to how transparent they are, but I would hate even more for someone to come here before considering employment and think they are getting a true picture of the company.

    Cons

    All of the fake reviews.

I have been working at Chem-Aqua full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Chem-Aqua is the water-treatment industry's best kept secret! Most people don't know the scope of what they do, which only means great opportunity for them. The company is forward thinking and is investing in what it takes to make their employees successful. Employees use cutting edge technical tools in the field, with more to come. Success is rewarded. Management gives its employees room to grow their skills and shape their career. I have seen and continue to see great things for this company.

    Cons

The only real con is not about Chem-Aqua, but about how NCH does business by having another BU unit be a minor competitor to Chem-Aqua. This is undeniably counter productive, but hopefully will sort itself out in the near future.

    Advice to Management

Localize all water treatment activity to Chem-Aqua only. Their expertise far outweighs other NCH BUs offering water treatment, which greatly reduces liability and increases profitability.

    I have been working at Chem-Aqua full-time

    Pros

Good co-workers, good company benefits: insurance, 401k, fitness center

    Cons

Stuck in the past, inability to utilize the employees, top heavy in management, boys club mentality, very disruptive atmosphere, raises are a joke unless you are management

    Advice to Management

Learn to push the employees you have by utilizing their strengths while paying them for a job well done. LISTEN to the people doing the jobs instead of having meetings that exclude them. Recognize what is going on day to day rather than closing your doors and leaving employees to an "honor" system that some honor and others take advantage of.

    I have been working at Chem-Aqua full-time

    Pros

Employees for the most part are able to coast, and as long as you don't doing anything wrong, you can continue to collect your paycheck with little effort.

    Cons

Managers shut doors and make decisions then tell the rest of the company what to do without getting input from the people actually doing the job. Managers think they know everything and never seek advice from the very people they call their most valuable asset. Micro management.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting people just because they have been around a long time. That does not make them qualified to manage other people. It also doesn't mean they should be over business functions they have no experience working with. Stop letting upper management make decisions without any input from the employees that actually do the job. Put QUALIFIED individuals in leadership positions.

    Pros

Some of the employees seem to want to make a difference, but hands are tied because of management.

    Cons

Discrimination, if you are not part of the good ole boys club, then you are exiled from being successful.

    Advice to Management

Need management accountability for their employees failing.

    Pros

A relatively unknown industry with unlimited opportunity... every building in the world needs clean air conditioning.

Sell to blue collar managers, not necessarily C-level executives.

Outside sales, no boy club office atmosphere favoritism.

    Cons

Cons are not applicable (at least throughout my time as an intern).
