I have been working at ChemStation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Their job provides freedom to do things your way, as long as it’s working and you’re making them money.

    Cons

Greedy ownership that will cuts commissions just to put more money into their employees. Long and short of it is they steal from their loyal employees who make the company profitable.

    Advice to Management

Greed isn’t always a good thing. Especially when it causes good employees to ponder their future.

"If able to sell this company is perfect. You get total freedom to do what you have to and very little micromanaging."

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits very little micromanaging.

    Cons

If you dont sell they will throw you under the bus and fire you immediately. No questions asked. All you have to do is sell.

    Advice to Management

Patience is a virtue. Not selling happy meals so not all deals are made in a few meetings. Need to let people build up their book of business before deciding people aren't contributing.

    Pros

not much great about this company. other than you get the weekends off. you do spend a lot of time at company sites for those who like to be away from the company. Pay is every other week

    Cons

Pay scale is really low in comparison to other companies.
owner will fire you fast on first offense.
please people do not leave your job for this place. you can be terminated any day.
This is a franchisee companies these owners are not the true owner so Chem Station they just owner the Houston location

    Advice to Management

Remember people have families like you. Follow proper steps like most major companies.
Just because an employee messes up dont fire them.
You made mistakes to in life and were not fired.

I have been working at ChemStation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Every location is run different so these reviews will vary in opinion depending upon which location they work for. However, being able to travel to conferences and shows with all of our teams across the nation, I can say the overall culture of this company is fantastic. I truly respect and enjoy each of them. Every rep I have met from across the nation apart of our various locations is eager to give advice and guidance. It truly feels like a family when we are all together, something I've never experienced else where within the industry of sales. We are all competitive and strive for success, but the cut throat mentality is not here. If you are willing to learn and knock on doors, the system and product sells itself.

    Cons

The internal technology that is used needs to be updated. I wouldn't say it has a effect on the success of my work but it needs to be done. Many things could be better streamlined through better internal technology and new lap tops... please

    Advice to Management

I understand the business model is set up for franchisees to have their independence and make their own decisions but I think a few of them are ruining your brand by how they treat their employees. This is very few and in between, but head quarters and key players who work for Chemstation know of the franchisees I'm speaking of and of their shadiness/what they are doing... call them out and don't let them ruin your brand/name

    Pros

Great way to meet other companies to possibly get a name in the field. Your in your own majority of the time.

    Cons

401k is okay pay is really small compared to other industries. They do not give raises and if you want a raise you have to fight for one.

    Advice to Management

Test each employee equally, success is because of employees and sales team stop tacking away the commission just to ovrthrow your increase of raw material pricess

I have been working at ChemStation (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great group to work for. Love the people I work for as well as the people I work with. Company really seems to be growing and going to great places.

    Cons

At this point and time we don't offer any OT. Not really a con in my opinion, but some people really rely on overtime.
