I worked at Chemours full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

People, pay, and work schedule. Management treats everyone like family, no matter your job title. Their able to maintain a family atmosphere despite the size of the workforce.

    Cons

None. I literally cannot write one con about Chemours. I wish they had more plants throughout the U.S. to give more people the opportunity to work for this company.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on keeping on.

I have been working at Chemours full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

*First and foremost - Any review about Chemours and too much DuPont legacy MUST be written by people that NEVER worked for DuPont.
    * Worked for DuPont for several years, and then left for 5+ years to experience the "rest of the chemical world". Came to Chemours this year and I can tell you the ONLY piece of this company that even slightly resembles old DuPont is the way Chemours values its people.
    * This is a fast moving, innovative, forward looking, growing company
    * Strong values for Safety, Innovation, Ethics, and Customer Focused
    * Respectful, fun work environment. Work Hard - Play Hard
    * Every person in this company from the top to the bottom is driven to make this company more successful each and every day.
If you want to learn every day, work cross functionally, and have your opinions heard, and be recognized and rewarded for your hard work -- This is the place for you!

    Cons

The only downside at all is the location of corporate headquarters being in downtown Wilmington as it does cost you money in city wage tax and parking (which averages at about $180/month for parking). Getting out of the city would certainly add to the draw of Chemours, but I don't see that ever happening.

    Advice to Management

Now that we are thriving, let's look at our longer term goals and work accordingly. Keeping growing the company - and do more to get the word out there about Chemours (commercials - marketing - etc!) Spread the Orange Word!

    I worked at Chemours full-time

    Pros

Finally free from the dupont ball and chain, this company can make sound decisions for the business' they run.

    Cons

Lots of change, not all positive. Lots of lay offs while they hire lower paid younger workers

    Advice to Management

Live your ethics don't just talk about it

I have been working at Chemours full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good pay. Good vacation policy. Paid holidays. Good 401k match. Somewhat of a family atmosphere. A lot of overtime if you want it.

    Cons

A lot of overtime, even if you don't want it. Medical and dental benefits are not as good as some of the other chemical plants and refineries in the area.

I have been working at Chemours full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits, flexible hours, interesting work, good workforce

    Cons

Staffing of doers is lean compared to workload, legacy DuPont performance evaluation, bimodal workforce

    Advice to Management

Continue and recruit and retain top talent, and invest in people and plants that are actually moving the company forward. Stock buybacks don't move the actual company forward.

    Pros

New company with a bright future. So far it seems that we are doing a good job drawing from the successes of the old company while doing away with certain systems that were hindering growth.

    Cons

Very tight knit organization which can be difficult to work around if you are not from the area or from the company prior to the spinoff

    Advice to Management

    Hold the low performers accountable
