I worked at Chemours full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

People, pay, and work schedule. Management treats everyone like family, no matter your job title. Their able to maintain a family atmosphere despite the size of the workforce.

    Cons

None. I literally cannot write one con about Chemours. I wish they had more plants throughout the U.S. to give more people the opportunity to work for this company.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on keeping on.

I have been working at Chemours full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Chemours is a very safety conscience company and despite it's age, it is willing to take risks when the opportunity arises.

    Cons

Being a young company is as much of a hindrance as it is a gift. Mistakes are made regarding local management, site closures, and public outreach.

    Advice to Management

Advice would be to listen to local employees concerns and heed it.

I have been working at Chemours full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good pay and decent benefits

    Cons

This location rewards incompetence and penalizes incentive. In an effort to get costs down they have cut employment past the bone and into the marrow. Line management is clueless , the company line is that anyone with a degree can manage a process, no matter what it involves. Upper management has absolutely no idea how a chemical process should be ran, they pretend to be your "buddy" to your face and then throw you under the bus at the drop of a hat. The safety department is a complete joke, burying the workers with mounds of useless paperwork that only hinders getting jobs completed.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people that are doing the real work. Hold people accountable for not doing their jobs. Review your procedures to minimize waste.

    Pros

Easy workload and little responsibility. Just do the little that your asked to do and you'll look amazing. "Nobody ever got fired for doing nothing"

    Cons

Its a company run by engineers who only care about the bottom line. Don't expect safety, work/life balance or any sort of professionalism.

    Advice to Management

Let some managers who actually like people to be in leadership roles.

    I worked at Chemours full-time

    Pros

    Competitive pay and benefit package.

    Cons

    Ruthless management.
Management has absolutely no problem cutting people. In fact, I was let go while on FMLA and my manager made it a point to call me at the hospital to let me know that I no longer had a job.

    Advice to Management

Look in the mirror, as you never know when it will be your turn.

    Pros

Good salary for the area and home every night.

    Cons

Since the spin off from Dupont. We have seen a lot of budget cuts and the Belle plant has definitely went down hill. Uncertainty about our job security is at a high.

    Advice to Management

Communication and organization is terrible. Need better job planning and the tools to do the jobs at task.
