    I worked at ChenMed full-time

    Pros

the concept of giving seniors VIP care that delivers better health is what attracts people to the job.

    Cons

Everything boils down to metrics, and it is drilled into you at every meeting how we are or are not meeting metrics. People who analyze the metrics are far removed from daily patient care. Worse, it has been made mandatory to recite the “Chenmed way” every single morning and at every meeting. Makes staff feel as if they are being slowly brainwashed and reprogrammed. After a while the words become meaningless and annoying...

    Advice to Management

You guys are messing up a good thing with all the micromanagement and over-regulation. Adding more and more work and expectations are stressing staff out and the cause for heavy turnover in employees. People that started off enthusiastic about the vision are being turned off .

    Pros

    Great benefits. Great work environment.

    Cons

Leaving behind the people that help grow the company. They hire who don’t know the south Florida market. They don’t pay the sales department what they should be pai. They make millions with Medicare patients. They don’t pay retention of patients. You work every day unless you turn your phone or e-mail off. Manager ask you for goals that they can’t even achieve. They need to get rid of the central market team and keep...

    Advice to Management

Close central market team. Grow that market the old fashion way by word of mouth.

I have been working at ChenMed full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It’s refreshing to be recognized and rewarded based on results. Everyone is very friendly as it’s not the typical politically charged corporate environment. Leadership really cares about their employees and go the extra mile. ChenMed even created a site for people in need. I love the new direction and I’m more excited than ever to work here. First time I’ve been in a well-functioning IT organization.

    Cons

With the growth we are bursting at the seams for space, so hopefully this will be solved soon.

I have been working at ChenMed full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Concept of Care provided to the Senior population and founding principles along with the founders are superb

    Cons

No accountability in the Atlanta Market and The Market President/HR Rep in Atlanta favors friendship over employee performance and morale to the point of extreme discrimination which someone needs to take them to court to address.

    Advice to Management

Utilize your own policies and procedures for all employees-don't pick and choose what rules are to be followed based on personal biasses, have a clear training and employee support system in place for success and don't throw your mission out the door to protect a poor performing friend-it does effect patient care!
