        Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at ChenMed

        Pros

You get to make patients smile and feel great doing that.

        Cons

Problem is the management, Lauderhill office doesn’t rthere employee at all. I hear back supervisor speak rudely with patients and staff, manager speak rudely to certain employee. Somebody needs to be accountable for there actions starting with managers and supervisors.

        Advice to Management

Stop playing blaming employees for certain things that other people are doing. Stop playing favoritism to your own race.

I have been working at ChenMed full-time for less than a year

        Pros

Chenmed/Jencare is on the forefront of transforming the health care industry. The Companies Vision, Mission and Values are not words on a page or merely inspirational epithets. It is lived out daily by the the leaders, and vast majority of the physicians and employees. In turn this fosters a very healthy work environment. I am honored to be a part of this organization.

        Cons

Not really a CON... The company is growing; therefore, we are experiencing a few pain points. These opportunities are not unique to Chenmed/Jencare. A multitude of healthcare organizations across nation have similar opportunities to navigate through. Many will continue to struggle. However, there is no doubt that we will preserve and realize our Vision.

        Advice to Management

Recognize that as unique individuals, people embrace and navigate through change in various ways. Continue to be understanding and supportive while being open to recognize the cultural variations that exist in each market. Thank you for your tireless pursuit of excellence that serves our patients very well.

I worked at ChenMed full-time for more than 3 years

        Pros

Absolutely amazing company to work for. The people and atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Plenty of opportunities for growth and experience. Very inclusive and open with changes and planning. Enthusiastic and supportive management both on the IT side and at centers.

        Cons

Not me personally but Many of the IT field techs do not have an office space or an area to work and store equipment.

        Advice to Management

Set schedules so that the center managers and staff have a general idea of when and where the techs might be. Allow some remote work if an office space or area is not available for the tech to work without distractions

Market Leadership has a double standard of hold everyone accountable but themselves Market ran based on emotions and popularity and not competency. Leadership openly discuss employee sensitive matters with peers and direct reports Former employees are ostracized and criticized during market forums

        Advice to Management

Trust is necessary to promote performance and employee engagement. Outside of our former market HR leader, TRUST NO ONE in leadership. Market Leadership will have you convinced that everyone is expendable and you are only valued when needed to produced favorable results that make them look good. Fall short and expect passive aggressive insults, character assassination, and manipulative innuendos about your inability...

I have been working at ChenMed full-time for more than a year

        Pros

This company has not only shown its kindness through its patient care, but through its support of its employees. And to be honest, this is something that the world likes to overlook. I have worked for this company for 2 years and I have been taught that not all big corporations forgets where its focus is, their employees. Jencare has also taught me that a close knit culture in a company is something that can work in corporate...

        Cons

Change is always happening here just as it would at any medical center or office setting. You have to be adaptable to change and able to multitask, if not you will be like those horrible reviews people have written. Those folks were not able to compete so I'm not sure why they compared their job role to others.

        Advice to Management

Be flexible, be approachable, but most of all be empathetic to your staff.

        Pros

This was a great environment before all the leadership changes.

        Cons

TRUST NO ONE not even the HR department. The HR lets the managers know exactly what it going on. You feel as if there is no one who represent the people.

        Advice to Management

The malicious things you do to others will always come back to you. Treat people the way you want to be treated. People always repeat this but never follow it. Stop trying to get people to fill out surveys and write positive feedback on glass door. Many people see past this and know the real deal. The same way you claim you know people , also know that when employees leave ChenMed unfortunately because of you, they will...

In my four years working for this company I have never experienced or seen a senior executive team so passionate about patient care AND employee care. In my time here we have experienced massive growth and that growth has presented challenges in making sure everyone is properly trained and oriented. While we get the job done, it would be nice to have a more formal onboarding/training process for all positions. While there are many opportunities for growth we need to properly train our staff to excel in other positions

        Advice to Management

Please continue to streamline processes and procedures so we can continue to be and achieve our vision of being America's leading primary care provider

        Pros

I love coming in to work and providing VP care to seniors . Great company that really loves their patients and is willing to go outside of the normal operations to provide care. We truly love our patients and we are all one big family!

        Cons

We are a big family with some family growing pains. But we love our patients and take care of each other. If someone does not like to work then this is not the company for you . If you want a job to clock in and out -- this is not for you . We work hard to take care of all our patients!!!

        Advice to Management

Teach your staff why do we what we do . Don't just show us a task or duty but explain why it is important!! Help our employees grow in their role to be successful!!

If you like fast paces environment, then this place keeps you busy. Also allows you to roll your sleeves up and work on a lot of projects for your next career move.

        Cons

No accountability across all levels of the organization. Finger pointing is the norm. Management does not practice what they preach. Work, Life, Balance WHAT? They've coined a new term called, Life, Balance, Work. Management expects you to work more than you are hired for or payed to do and no recognition. Bonuses must be made on % of budget saved because once you are in, any Merritt increase is foreign concept....

Drop your egos at the door, listen to your employees, provide the proper training needed, stop talking about things you would like to do and start doing them. Remember people don't leave companies, they leave managers. Just because you are a manager does not mean you are better than everyone else. Your job is to be a leader and figure out how to raise other leaders. Not sit there and try to be the superstar you think...
