Chesapeake has been a great place to work

    Pros

Salary is great and benefits are unmatched. OKC campus is an amazing environment, with fitness center, two auditoriums that double as movie theaters and four very good restaurants. Off at noon on Fridays during the summer due to "Summer Hours" program (9 hour days M - Th)

    Cons

IT infrastructure can be a bit patchy due to rapid growth, but efforts are being made to improve this.

    Pros

Great and smart people. Awesome facilities like gym, restaurants, health center, etc. . Interesting work. Good pay. Best place to work in OKC.

    Cons

Can be stressful. Company is all about cutting costs. Some people shouldn't be working here. Management seems to need more training.

    Excellent benefits

Aug 25, 2015 - Senior Software Developer in Oklahoma City, OK

    Business Outlook

    Pros

15% matching on 401k contributions, high salary for market, and generous PTO make this an excellent place to work. The child care, fitness center, and health center are other great benefits.

    Cons

Flexible work hours are not really flexible. Employees can come in as early as 7:30 to leave earlier but everyone is expected to work a 9-9-9-9-4 schedule.

    Good culture, many perks

Feb 22, 2014 - Senior Applications Developer/Analyst in Oklahoma City, OK

    Pros

Overall culture is very positive. Big focus on health with amazing fitness center on main campus and multiple restaurants. Compensation package is competitive, low stress.

    Cons

Large company with many levels of management. Middle management is very political. I never saw promotions and bonuses based on performance, just years of experience. Very, very frustrating for people who want to excel because you see people just getting by or performing relatively poorly and there's no real recognition. With so many supervisors, there are some good and some really bad. Because supervisors can be put in the position not because of their skills but because they've just worked for the company for so long.

    Pros

Great benefits and perks. Best place to work in Oklahoma, hands down. Fitness center, restaurants, child development center, and Thunder tickets are just a FEW of the benefits offered at CHK.

    Cons

    Uphill battle with misinformed environmentalists.
