    Approves of CEO

I worked at Chevron Energy Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fantastic team. Sales leadership is very respected. Competent engineering team to back you up. Lots of resources to help you succeed.

    Cons

Chevron process can slow things down (getting contracts through legal can be very difficult). Chevron HQ ended up selling the renewable energy business, so it doesn't exist anymore.

I worked at Chevron Energy Solutions full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

the Chevron culture is impressive. Integrity and Safety are critical priorities for all who work there.

    Cons

You are a small cog in a very large wheel. CES didn't get much attention or love from Chevron, which is very focused on oil and gas.

    Advice to Management

You will do better now that you aren't part of Chevron corporate.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Chevron Energy Solutions full-time

    Pros

Mission and impact - helping customers go green. Benefits of a large corporation (Chevron) with the excitement and culture of an emerging industry (solar and energy efficiency). Strong safety culture. Great team atmosphere in the large offices.

    Cons

Lumpy sales revenue, leadership is a mixed bag, little opportunity for promotion in certain roles.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Chevron Energy Solutions full-time for more than 19 years

    Pros

Competitive salary and incentives. Nice office accomodations. Generally freindly co-workers. Was a place for a technical individual, not just a sales organization that saw technical employees as a necessary support staff that had to be endured. May be a few politics at the top. Didn't realize some of the job amenities of working at Chevron Energy Solutions until I left.

    Cons

When taken over by Chevron, bureaucracy increased. Can be extensive travel at times. With increased energy conservation business slow down, potential of being downsized and closing offices. Seems that ultimate goal may be to consolidate in California.
