I have been working at Chevron full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Security, older workforce. Great place to gain experience. There is a wide variety of business options units to pick from.

    Cons

Older workforce which are trapped because of the accumulating 401k plan. Harder to leave than to get in. Need to recognize talent from outside rather than promoting just from within.

    Advice to Management

Need to focus on talent management or else you will accidentally promote mediocracy which i see occurring too often.

I worked at Chevron full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent pay and benefits, exciting industry, great people to work with.

    Cons

Bureaucratic and slow. It's a cushy office job (unless you're in the field) that gets bogged down a bit. If you're looking for faster pace, this might not be it

    Advice to Management

Improve the Horizons program to be more hands-on learning and give actual projects rather than just have us take classes
