    Pros

Good pay Bonuses - if you get them

    Cons

Lackluster medical benefits Work/life balance non-existent

    Advice to Management

Management is only concerned about money and beating the competition. So much so that they will turn a blind eye to wrongdoings of others, or unethical business practices. As an escrow assistant, you are expected to carry the load - you are overworked. You are expected to come in early and stay late, and even come in on weekends. While you get paid for the overtime, if you have previous engagements, you're out of... luck and get treated poorly for not "pulling your weight" if you can't come in. Then, in winter when it is slow, if you work a minute of overtime you are written up. Bonuses are great - if you get them. The Escrow Officer receives the whole bonus and has the option to share with the assistant or not. I was fortunate to work with an EO that shared, but others in my branch were not as lucky. Not much room for advancement within a branch, as everyone has a set position. Pay was pretty good, especially including overtime and bonuses during the busy months. But with good pay came poor treatment. Management - if there is clear nepotism, favoritism, or discrimination, do not turn a blind eye because the people committing the acts make you money. Stop running the company like it is 1950. Be fair and stick by your employees. The benefit package alone shows the lack of respect you have for your employees; escrow is a hard enough job, and feeling like the people that can make a change don't do so is disheartening.

    Pros

Great people, technology and tools as well as name recognition being a member of the Fidelity family of companies.

    Cons

The escrow manager is horrible and the sales manager won't do anything to improve the situation. I think she is married to the brother of someone high up at the company...

    Advice to Management

Take a look at escrow and make the needed changes to be competitive.
