I have been working at Chick-fil-A full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - The Cathy family encourages focus on relationships and practices that as well
    - I feel valued
    - This company invests in my career development
    - I am able to choose professional development (yearly allowance)
    - Managers are encouraging and supportive
    - Freedom to work how I need to, to be the most productive
    - Profit Sharing
    - Consistent sales growth
    - High effort by management to educate all Inc. employees on understanding the restaurant business. T

    Cons

Job "Paths" are not always clear, but they are working on improving that.

    I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They had amazing benefits and they were never unfair to me.

    Cons

They could've given me a raise since I worked there for a few years.

    Advice to Management

Maybe ask more about how your employees are doing.

    I worked at Chick-fil-A full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I love love love the company. The leadership cared genuinely about reaching their community, not just as customers, but as friends.

    Cons

There was a huge atmosphere difference between day shift and night shift. So much that tension between a split of duties was quite obvious and awkward at times.

    Advice to Management

Excel in communication across all sections of workers (ie kitchen, front counter, day, and night shift)

    I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked at a location that was individually owned, so that changes my experience a bit. My location allotted us approximately twenty dollars per shift to put someone's meal on the house if such an occasion was needed. This included things like buying the meal of someone in uniform or helping someone out if they'd lost their wallet (and were clearly genuine about the issue). Customer service was of the utmost importance. I was never taught to say "my pleasure" but everyone else did it so I quickly picked it up (I get asked that a lot). Other changes in language encouraged: customers were "guests" and rags were "towels."

    Cons

Everyone assumes you yourself are homophobic, just because the now late owner of the company was. This is false. My location was staffed by a majority LGBTQ staff.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing for individuals looking for a first time job, the company strives to give leadership skills, competitive pay, there are also scholarship opportunities.

    Cons

No benefits such as medical, 401k, etc.
Not able to support a family off of the pay you receive from the restaurants.

    Advice to Management

Directors need, at minimum, benefits in order to be able to stay long-term, especially when they have a family.
