    I worked at Chick-fil-A part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Chick-fil-a was a great place to work and is a really good place to work if you are looking for your first job. Working at this place allows you to talk to people and make connections with people, which in fact are usually regulars. I have built connections and have even networked while working here. It is a great place to work if you are positive, kind, generous and just an overall good person.

    Cons

The cons of working here are not many. If you cannot stand on your feet for long or you want to do your work halfway, this is not the place for you. You need to be at your best at all times. Another con would be that customers can be rude to you because you do work at Chick-fil-a so people expect you to be nice and customers think they can treat you anyway just because of that but then again, that happens everywhere.

    Cons

Pay. For someone to be an experienced cashier the pay wasn’t able to live off of.

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

We received a $7.50 break allowance for our twenty minute paid break for every five hours we worked. We also received a 20% employee discount to us and our immediate family when we were not working. We had regular meetings on sundays at the store to discuss policies and to ensure that everyone working on the drive thru knew the same policies. Hours were very flexible and you were stuck in the same weekly hours. Once a week, we submitted our availability and we were only scheduled for days we said we could work on. Shifts are usually 3pm-10pm but it doesn’t feel as long as you’d expect. Customer satisfaction is a main priority. As a drive thru team memeber I was paid $8.00 an hour after my first four months working there. We had lots of events we attend as a group like parades and a yearly free trip to carowinds. Two uniforms, a belt, and shoes were provided for free when I began.

    Cons

Many employees are younger (15-16). Company also has a lot of policies on how you look and can dress. Tattoos and dyed hair are not allowed. Any piercings besides the first hole isn’t allowed. Jewelry besides a wedding band isn’t allowed. Nail polish isn’t allowed.
