Very valuable, at times unhealthy. CFA must be your dream for LDP.

      Pros

Challenging, equipping, high opportunity for growth in problem solving, managing, team building, thinking fast, building work ethic & drive, eliminating victim mentality, building relationships with team members and customers. A lot of people here genuinely care for one another and desire the best. You will grow with the right attitude!

      Cons

A little disorganized and not what initially advertised to be. Highly volatile business and work environment that can create instability over time, and lead to plans and promises made but not fulfilled. While this is not entirely a con, and truly provides opportunity for the pros above, it is worth being aware of. Expectations from upper management can be a moving target, lacking in training, and at times irrational and/or overbearing on certain employees. Owner is rarely in store and unfortunately (intentionally or unintentionally) has established a “Holy” presence when on site, creating an environment where majority of member’s interactions and associations are that of fearing and pleasing, “or else.” If the name of owner would be mentioned in store, especially the possibility of his coming, employees enter into immediate fear driven panic. While there is much positivity, sincerity, and opportunity for individual growth, there is unfortunately Kool-aid in the culture that may not be fully realized.

Do not work here for the sake of your own mental health.

      Pros

(I wanted to preface this by saying I worked at the Happy Valley/North Atherton location, it wouldn't let me be that specific though) -Coworkers are very nice (including management, does not include the store manager though) -Good food to eat on break

      Cons

-If you make (even small) mistakes, you will be treated like an idiot -Mistakes are displayed in front of everyone on signs inside the drive-thru area -You must be an insanely quick learner to succeed -If they find one specific thing you are good at, you will be pigeonholed into only doing that one thing -Management faces a ton of pressure from the owner (he has literally made people not want to be store owners AFTER they already went into training for it) and therefore there is a lot of pressure on employees -Uniforms are ugly -Second shift is mostly teenagers, so during the school year it is extremely short staffed but you will be forced to make it work -Always insanely busy, especially in move-in season for college students -Basically, do not work here unless you are extremely by-the-book, hardworking, non-neurodivergent (if you are, the amount of stress will severely affect your mental health), and willing to be a corporate slave.

      Pros

The guests are really nice and so are the teammates. The pay was good too

      Cons

Sometimes left employees on outside positions for long lengths of time (I was once left outside ordertaking in below freezing weather for about 6 hours. I couldn't feel my hands). The managers were alright though one was a bit uptight

      Great Starter Job

      Pros

      - my coworkers were generally great, and I became friends with a lot of them outside of work - managers and supervisors were easy to work with and generally good leaders - for the most part, upper management was good - the company has a good advancement path if you're willing to work with them long enough

      Cons

      - upper management at my location always promised raises but never gave them - in my store, if you were good at drive-thru headset, you would be stuck on it for an entire shift, making your own drinks and milkshakes and keeping your entire section stocked while taking orders during rush hour. The deciding factor for me to quit was because I got tired of working full shifts on headset by myself every time I clocked in. I'm not sure if other locations do this though.

      Pros

Too many to list! Great benefits, energizing atmosphere, amazing coworkers, meaningful work.

      Cons

Depending on your role, busy seasons can mean extra hours. That’s common with most companies, but at least at Chick-fil-A they try to balance that.

      Pros

There are flexible hours and you can easily drop or pick up shifts. The pay is far above the average and your schedule and availability are respected by the management staff. Furthermore, plenty of employers elsewhere look highly on those who come from Chick-fil-A because of the customer service you learn.

      Cons

There aren't really any cons to working there, and as a first job, I would highly recommend people to apply there. Although it can sometimes be stressful if the people you work with are good, you won't be too stressed out.
