I worked at Chick-fil-A full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Likely the most white-collar environment of any fast food job High hiring standards, so your co-workers aren't slackers Complimentary shift meals (at least at my location) My location was indifferent to candidates' sexual orientation Flexible scheduling Pay at my location (Orchard Parkway) for full-timers was a living wage ($15/hour in 2019) If you want to continue on with the company, there is a lot of room for growth Possible eligibility for college scholarships

    Cons

The higher ups were all stepford smilers You have to be 100% servile to the customers, even if the customers are ridiculous Unsubstantiated harassment claims can be levied against you and you can be fired over it The BOH doesn't get paid more than the FOH, even though BOH does much more work (coming from a FOH worker) Lack of transparency over internal processes

I have been working at Chick-fil-A full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The overall morale, attitude and work environment are positive and professional. Chick Fil A strives for excellence and achieves excellence by hiring wonderful staff.

    Cons

Every CFA is different; therefore, it's hard to gauge the entire business's downfalls. Wage is probably the biggest concern of most. Most team members don't make more than $10-$11 an hour.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Chick-fil-A part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people are alright, at least the back of house, most of the time

    Cons

The leadership and the need for "positivity" all the time is annoying

    Advice to Management

Understand that not everyone is going to be happy all the time.

I worked at Chick-fil-A full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The good employees were great, like a family.

    Cons

Bad employees were terrible and manipulative. If you weren't in with them they treated you like garbage. This is specific to the Smyrna location, but I've heard similar stories from transfers from the Murfreesboro stores.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees when they tell you what's going on. Don't forget that people have files for a reason, once they get past a certain number of complaints or write ups, fire them!

    Pros

The college scholarship program, looks great on resumes, learn how to deal with people

    Cons

Bad employee management, employees overworked for little pay, employees endure harsh weather conditions. Employees are underpaid. Bottom line the employees just don’t get enough respect.

    Advice to Management

treat your employees right so you don’t have such a high turnover rate. Pay them what they deserve.
