Love waking up for work everyday

Great culture! This company is truly focused on employee development and growth in all aspects. There's also a strong focus on philanthropy and giving back to the community which means a lot to me. I love working for a company that is so focused on making a positive impact. The culture is one of a kind. There is no such thing as hierarchy here. Servant leadership is a top priority at Chico's FAS and it shows, starting at the executive level. The benefits are amazing and the on campus amenities are extensive. Dry cleaning service, 24 hour fitness center, cafes across campus, weekly farmers market, car washing service, etc. Not to mention the campus is minutes away from the beach! Best job I've ever had.
Cons
On Friday's in the summer months we have half days - it would be great if these lasted throughout the month of August instead of ending the first week of August.

Doing it for the awesome discount, staying for the awesome team.

Best store discount I've ever received and it's for all the brands not just your particular store. My store management team works really well together and understands the importance of making everyone feel appreciated for their part in the success of the store. Can't speak for any other Chicos store. There are policies put into place that guarantee your breaks and lunches. Benefits are offered to pt associates but at a steep cost so most pt staff do not participate but it's there if you want/need them. I am fortunate enough to have tons of flexibility about my schedule since I only do freight and stock work so my hours have little effect on floor coverage. Basically I work hard when I'm there and do what ever extra work is asked of me in exchange for a very fluid schedule.
Cons
Like most other retail jobs, the pay is horrible even if you have years of experience and a solid track record. The number of hours can vary drastically from week to week but I"m ok with that since this is just a pickup job for me.

Higher standards, commission, and pressure
Apr 16, 2013 - Sales AssociateRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
commission is unusual at this level, more than just cashiering, you get to develop relationships with customers some good training on sales and customer service positive attitude for the most part (depending on current store conditions) flexible work schedule
Cons
aggressive sales expectations many promotions to keep track of and communicate to customers managers are flooded with reporting duties, no time to coach more training and coaching are needed to provide the culture desired by management. part-time benefits that I signed up for were never granted even though I paid for them for 6 months.

Pays well and benefits are great
Cons
They don’t communicate and they make you think they want you to grow with the company but they choose someone else because of cost

Career and Culture all in one!
Apr 21, 2017 - Manager in Fort Myers, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
At Chico's FAS headquarters in Fort Myer's Florida, I have been able to build an amazing career. You are in charge of your destiny - you can build the career that you want. I love the people I work with daily...we work hard, but we also have a blast while doing so. The culture that the Senior Leadership Team has built gets stronger and stronger every day. A culture of support for one another and one that promotes and encourages personal and career development at any level. The benefits package and the on-site amenities are awesome (including a daycare, gym, and car wash/detailing!)
Cons
Truly can't think of any...

Awesome Management!
Sep 27, 2015 - Sales Consultant in Norcross, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The manager and team at the location in which I was hired are wonderful people. It has been a very long time in my work career to be assigned with a group of great people. Every time I worked I was always encouraged and taught new skills on how to complete a sale. Love how the company look out for their employees by offering great benefits and free flu shots.
Cons
The customers are accustomed to a certain sales person and is leery to the newer consultants. This is no fault of the company. Pay is not that great, I think the hourly pay sucks because they expect you to close on the sales. If you do not close on the sale then you have a very sale pay check every two weeks.

Pros
The benefits such as cheap Healthcare and summer Fridays along with anything goes dress code.
Cons
Upper management not always aligned. Location isn't that appealing to many people.
