I have been working at Childcare Network full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

*Childcare Network is incredibly supportive of the teachers and directors.
*They encourage continuing my education and will pay for classes.
*The teachers I work with are rock stars!!!
*I've worked at a couple different schools and the directors have gone out of their way to be supportive and get what is needed for the classroom.

    Cons

*Older buildings but have seen a lot of repairs and they respond quickly if something gets broken.

    Advice to Management

Love the openness of the company and the support that we get to do our jobs well so please keep doing that.

I have been working at Childcare Network part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Education for employees; updated facilities

    Cons

Bare minimum child/teacher ratios. If a child needs special attention in classroom or on playground, there are no other teachers available at a moment's notice to step in and watch the other children. No access to children's films, no using digital devices for staff (including cell phones) while on duty - this policy is a bit extreme in that there are no clocks in some of the rooms or outside for the parents to know what time they are signing out their children; teachers cannot show movies or play music for children during after school / free time. Too many clipboards for manually signing children in and out - after parent has already electronically signed into the facility to drop off or pick up children. Children are moved from room to room throughout the day (primarily due to extreme teacher/child ratio issues) which gets confusing - not only to the children, but to teachers and parents. Parents come looking for their children in one location only to be told they are not there. This could be very unsettling to a parent. Some children say things like, "my mommy won't know where to find me." Pay is very low for all the responsibility required. $8.00/hour average for caring for child, teaching/guiding a classroom with as many as 18 children (various ages) to 1 teacher; teachers must close down their classrooms which includes sweeping/vacuuming, disinfecting, putting all toys and supplies away, taking out garbage, securing windows and doors, preparing mop solution, mopping floors, dumping out mop buckets, etc. It is a lot of work for very little pay. Staff turnover is very frequent which is unsettling to parents.

I worked at Childcare Network full-time

    Pros

Great work hours and nice co-workers

    Cons

Management is never fair with all employees and you can never take your vacation when you actually put in for it unless your one of their favorites. Also the pay is crappy always promise you raises and you never receive them.

    Advice to Management

Treat all employees the same and not just your favorite employees , and work your giving your employees a raise every now and then.

I have been working at Childcare Network full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The one pro ive ever seen here is that at least YOUR child gets to interact with other children

    Cons

This place will take any child any time for a dollar. The classrooms are full and they still take kids hoping someone is out that day so they can shift kids to other classrooms no matter the age. The director is a big disgusting liar. That lady will tell you anything you want to hear just to shut you up meanwhile she has NO intentions of doing it. And she really doesnt do it. She is out of the school more than she is in it. The old ladies in the building are just plum nasty. They are rude and give a whole lot of unsolicited advice about your child. The teachers seem uninterested and appear to do the BARE MINIMUM. I absolutely would not recommend this place. They definitely need a new director who is a team player and wants the best for her staff and students NOT JUST HERSELF. they will hire ANYNODY just find it the ratios . they pay little to nothing and expect you to do EVERYTHING. There is no staff support and they will only help you if you kiss their behind and become a gofer for them

    Advice to Management

Do better. You quality of management is shown more in the satisfaction of your staff, parents, and students NOT YOU TELLING PEOPLE WHAT TO DO SO YOU WONT HAVE TO DO IT
