I have been working at Childcare Network full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The one pro ive ever seen here is that at least YOUR child gets to interact with other children

    Cons

This place will take any child any time for a dollar. The classrooms are full and they still take kids hoping someone is out that day so they can shift kids to other classrooms no matter the age. The director is a big disgusting liar. That lady will tell you anything you want to hear just to shut you up meanwhile she has NO intentions of doing it. And she really doesnt do it. She is out of the school more than she is in it. The old ladies in the building are just plum nasty. They are rude and give a whole lot of unsolicited advice about your child. The teachers seem uninterested and appear to do the BARE MINIMUM. I absolutely would not recommend this place. They definitely need a new director who is a team player and wants the best for her staff and students NOT JUST HERSELF. they will hire ANYNODY just find it the ratios . they pay little to nothing and expect you to do EVERYTHING. There is no staff support and they will only help you if you kiss their behind and become a gofer for them

    Advice to Management

Do better. You quality of management is shown more in the satisfaction of your staff, parents, and students NOT YOU TELLING PEOPLE WHAT TO DO SO YOU WONT HAVE TO DO IT

I have been working at Childcare Network full-time

    Pros

I can think of only one pro for working for this company in Columbus, Ga. The only thing that is decent is the hours.

    Cons

The con are numerous. The pay is terrible, it is a chaotic environment and the corporate officers want the employees to fear and shake in their tracks when they come to visit. The curriculum is out of date and inappropriate for children living in today's world.

    Advice to Management

Get over yourselves. Stop acting like you are superior to employees. You are not any better or educated than the employees.

I worked at Childcare Network full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1. Co-workers.
    2. Children and families.

    Cons

    1. Everything else.

Seriously, this company is crazy. Do not be fooled by all the recent positive reviews. Six months ago, this company was rated 2.5 and mysteriously has almost doubled the number of reviews and increased the rating to 4.2? Smells fishy.

But here is my personal experience after working there for 5 years.
    1. Low pay (even for the daycare field).
    2. High expectations (very high considering what they pay).
    3. Yes, they have benefits, but they are horrible. No one can afford the health insurance (see #1 for the reason why). The vacation days are a joke because you are always short staffed (see #1 and #2 for the reason why). You can get better pay and better benefits working at McDonald's.
    4. Stressful. The amount of work that upper management expects Directors to get done is relentless. The Directors are not able to manage the building because they are always in the office working on some new "program" that corporate expects them to start. Meanwhile, teachers are getting left in classrooms with no bathroom break or lunch break.
    5. High turnover (see the list above for all the reasons why).
    6. They have had several incidents recently where teachers have intentionally hurt children. This company is quick to blame the staff and the Director, but refuses to see their part in the problem. If the building is short staffed and the Director is overwhelmed with all the normal day to day business, but corporate keeps pushing down more, more, more, more--.it is a recipe for disaster. Those ladies in upper management should take off the heels, get in a classroom and spend a month actually working in a classroom with no bathroom or lunch breaks and see how well they handle the children. It's shameful.

    Advice to Management

Slow down. Respect your employees. Listen to your employees.

I worked at Childcare Network full-time

    Pros

I loved working with the kids and getting close to them.

    Cons

Childcare Network isn't a place I would enroll my child into. Why? Cameras tend to mess up and parents wouldn't be able to see their child while at work or at home. Yes, #258 believes in background checks but I do not trust teachers around my child.

    Advice to Management

Management is very poor. Their not respectful to their staff at all. They also need more teamwork and honesty in building #258 on Alsheyba Way. Lexington, KY. Their is way too much favoritism at this daycare.

I worked at Childcare Network full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Children are great and they do offer insurance if you can afford it.

    Cons

No bathroom breaks, pay is terrible, can't call in sick (they will not let you leave even if you are throwing up), always understaffed, directors do not care about the employees, overworked, facility will not pay for anything, and horrible communication!

    Advice to Management

Treat employees how you would like to be treated.
