    Pros

Employees on the clinical side. Most of them still believe in the vision and mission of Children's
    Compensation

    Cons

Executives only care about lining their pockets
CEO should have gone in 2005

    Advice to Management

    They would not take advice.

    I worked at Children's Health full-time

    Pros

    Making life better for children

    Cons

Leadership extremely heavy on top and they tend to either lay off underlings or cut their title to a lower pay grade to pay you less money

    Advice to Management

Most of us work extremely hard to earn our pay. Loyalty and devotion diminish when you decrease our pay which affects every part of our world as we knew it. I wonder if cutting your bonuses would help the bottom line?

I have been working at Children's Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The kids! They are the only reason I still work here.

    Cons

Upper management has changed over the years and every time there is a change, it’s a trickle down effect for unpleasantness for the subordinates... benefits use to be great, but insurance is harder to get things approved like needed surgery. We always have to appeal to get things approved.

    Advice to Management

Treat the people who have spent years here like we matter. I’ve been here almost 15 years and it doesn’t seem to translate into or anything other than just another body.

I have been working at Children's Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay.. not much else to mention. The employees do try to make it tolerable.

    Cons

Where to start? Management speaks favourably to your face while holding knife behind their back. Since starting I've seen some really dedicated employees get pushed out. They attempt team building activities after work hours, but honestly it's just to keep an eye and thumb on you. Those that are left no longer feel safe in our positions. Please beware before applying.

    Advice to Management

VP needs to review turn over rate and watch his director and her bobblehead manager. The turnover will continue if these two aren't stopped.

I worked at Children's Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    PTO hours yearly bonus location

    Cons

Started out great but after the budget cut they require their employees to do the job of 3 people the management is horrible they show favoritism and you will be retaliated against if you go to upper management you never see your coworker smile everyone is always complaining

    Advice to Management

Stop being dictators and actually listen to your employees please be trained in people skills and stop telling new hires and new supervisors about current employees creating tension amongst the staff

I worked at Children's Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Have the opportunity to work with world's most important patients - children.

PTO was good (although I heard that they cut back for new hires)

    Cons

Cost cutting measures left personnel scrambling to adjust and feeling unappreciated.

At times bites off more than they can chew. Will make radical changes in multiple phases of the medical care process all at once which negatively affects patient care and employee morale.

    Advice to Management

Stop straying away from what made the hospital great when I first got there - consideration and appreciation of the staff. When the staff felt appreciated and cared for (as opposed to 'you're replaceable so deal with it or leave') the quality of patient care seemed way better - night and day.

I have been working at Children's Health part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, continuous educational educational sessions available and serving the pediatric population

    Cons

Micromanagement, cut backs in education funds and job lay offs

    Advice to Management

staff satisfaction is just as valuable as patient satisfaction
