    Pros

pay highest in texas for peds.

    Cons

favoritism is going to kill the er with high turn over. techs dont help out. managers make bedside decisions without taking bedside nurses advise. all about the money patients are seen has $$$ and not as patients. always asking when can this patient go home and not asking what can be done to help

    Pros

The mission is to make life better for children and most strive to do that. Pay is good.

    Cons

Run like a business and not a hospital. Managers are not nurses and have no clue how to care for patients. Costs are very high compared to other facilities across the country. Benefits are expensive. High turnover. Management is awful. Corporate structure is confusing - too many “leaders” with different visions

    Pros

Great teamwork across departments, from the doctors to the nurses, the emergency dept to the ORs and ICUs. Everyone is on the same page when it comes to the hospital mission. It’s connection to UTSW makes it a great teaching hospital as well.

    Cons

Politics easily affected morale, a lot of staff felt overworked, under appreciated. Benefits aren’t what they used to be. Currently have Cigna, which is only a slight step above Atena.

    Pros

Excellent teaching hospital, competitive pay Executive leaders truly care and want feedback-managers need to present the problems and not hide them

    Cons

Payroll-primary reason for leaving-consistent errors in my pay checks Never got to fully do my job description because of constant understaffing Understaffed and filling a position with a warm body is only setting up for a sentinel event. If I were a parent and was aware of the lack of experience and mistakes being made due to lack of appropriate precepting, I would be very skeptical of the nursing staff. Medical insurance is through Cigna and its the equivalent to Obama Care. IT department-very unprofessional
