      Very Top Heavy Company

      Pros

Anything working with helping kids is very rewarding. The company is small enough to still feel like a mom and pop shop.

      Cons

Children's cut their workforce years ago and anyone who was left was given a new title without the experience. They have stuck around but never learned what they needed for the titles they received. The top executives are more focused on having an office in Old Parkland's beautiful campus than focusing on the moral and culture at CMC.

      Pros

Offers great benefits and options for overtime

      Cons

They don't offer cross training or options for advancement. Very poor leadership that is very biased. They are very disrespectful to employees.

      Toxic work environment

      Pros

They have a generous bonus program for short staffed days.

      Cons

The organization does not care about you as an employee, there is no work life balance. You are constantly texted at home to come to work or move your days to cover shorter days during the week. You truly feel like a cash cow, especially in the Respiratory department. The staff are coddled by management and do not hold others accountable for dependability because they can’t afford to loose anymore staff members. The education department is a joke as they don’t educate and just expect staff to learn on their own but drill them yearly for “competencies”. I have never seen the management come in and take an actual assignment and put on a stethoscope- they would rather sit behind a desk and be “charge” for the day than take a staffing assignment.

      Best Job I have had

Aug 9, 2021 - Patient Care Technician in Dallas, TX

      Pros

Great work experience for entry into hospital systems I really love my job and everyone I work with. Great to be able to work at a teaching hospital and the environment really supports learning and education. Team Lead and management really want to help you grow and further your career.

      Cons

Normal healthcare burn out is high any job in a hospital can be stressful and alot of politics. However the management and team leads really try to prevent all of these and try to support you and your career growth.

Not a bad place to work

Nov 8, 2021 - Paramedic in Dallas, TX
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Easy to get time off, lots of PTO accrued

      Cons

Not very many shifts to choose from. Medic's are undervalued for skills and abilities, and RN's are catered to.
