I worked at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Loved working with children. Enjoyed my staff. Good benefits and pay.

    Cons

the last couple of years was not very enjoyable there. We had new management and it had become all about the money. New RN's were being hired for nearly half the salary "us ole timers received" They came with no OR Experience either. The employees with the many, many years experience were being "weeded out" or compelled to retire or quit.

    Advice to Management

Even though many of you seasoned nurse are getting older and make more money then the new grads. Most surgeons would rather work with an experienced mature nurse who knows what she is doing. She nurses that have been there a long time will stay. The young new graduates will get their free training for a year and then be on their way. I've seen it over and over.
