    I worked at Children's Hospital Colorado full-time

    Pros

Great benefits and the satisfaction of working for the betterment of children and their health. Nothing puts your life into perspective until you walk around the hospital and see the kids/babies/parents and what they are facing.

    Cons

Lack communication from departments and management.

    Advice to Management

Tools provided to give feedback need to be improved. You do get to review your manager but the results end up no where and with little to no improvement. The overall review process both for employees and managers is too broad, unclear on specifics and does not fit every job

I have been working at Children's Hospital Colorado full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a wonderful to work with children and know you are making a difference. Pay is reasonable and benefits are good. Most employees are friendly and work very hard to take care of the Patients and Family. I love being a part of what Childrens stands for.

    Cons

Since I have worked here, I have seen ongoing communication issues between and within certain departments; there is little room for mistake and people seem quick to escalate situations up the chain of command instead of trying to problem solve or simply talk to parties involved.

    Advice to Management

Encourage Managers to team build within departments and encourage working partnerships between employees. Weekly check ins on team morale would be very good.
Treat employees with the same respect regardless of their role; everyone is working hard toward a common goal of helping Patients.
QSRS feels like a weapon sometimes.
Discourage blame culture and emphasize assuming best intent with peers.
