I love Children's! Great environment and friendly staff. Have loved working here for the past few years.

    Pros

Being an inner city hospital the range of acuity you treat and the diversity you're immersed in is definitely beneficial. There are a lot of morale and team building activities done monthly to show appreciation. Hospital is located right in the heart of downtown Detroit.

    Cons

CHM is not unionized, and is currently a for profit institution.

    Pros

Great staff to work with. Supportive work environment. They practice collaborative care and family centered care.

    Cons

Sometimes not competitive with other hospitals in lateral positions. Could use a better 401-k, 403-B plan. Need a retirement plan.

    Advice to Management

Continue to advance treatments for patients, upgrade equipment, and provide incentives for nurses.
