I worked at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Children are the priority and are the highlight of working there.

    Cons

End up staying there later than scheduled and having to close late.
Providers run behind often and are consistently rude to clinical staff.

    Advice to Management

Actually communicate with your staff instead of hide behind closed doors constantly.

I worked at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Mostly awesome professional staff. Nursing has young and old divisions. Work ethics have changed greatly. Served great patients and families. Worked there in multiple settings many years.

    Cons

Management operates like high school with cliques. Allowed and directed "Bullying" to meet cost saving agendas. Managers minions of leadership & HR - have directives to save money. MNA in with Childrens; not your friends just getting 2K a year of your money for nothing. Watch your back- no run. There are better places to work.

I worked at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I loved my co-workers if you needed help they were willing and ready, would stop what they were doing to help you if needed. I also loved the families that I got to know.

    Cons

My con was my long commute each day, but I still loved my job because I stayed for 10 years.

    Advice to Management

Remember that employees have families, and things that come up that are out of our control be more receptive to that.

I have been working at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Competent specialists, well-equipped facilities, responsive IT staff, a complete array of neonatal equipment. This facility can handle anything. The transport abilities of the facility are amazing.

    Cons

Big city traffic, not the safest area around the hospital. Cafeteria could have better hours and be priced more fairly.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great morale
