I worked at Children's Wisconsin full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Sometimes can work from home, laid back office

    Cons

Managers are incompetent, lazy bullies with zero Integrity. Managers get away with treating staff horribly, yelling, bullying, lying, etc. They also have their staff do their work and take credit for it all. Upper management and HR don't listen and allow the behavior to continue. Staff that do nothing get raises just like everyone else. Health benefits are expensive and high deductible. Pay is low. Six holidays per... year, which are lumped with your vacation.

    Please get some integrity.

I have been working at Children's Wisconsin part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great colleagues who have a commitment to children and their families. A newly improved commitment to the safety of their employees.

    Cons

High-stress environment, many shifts there is no time to eat or take restroom breaks. Management has yet to make covering lunch breaks a priority for their staff.

    Advice to Management

Make your employees' health and well-being a priority through access to workout facilities on-site, easier access to healthy foods (for example, offering the option for the employees to have their lunches delivered up to the floor when working.) Have a plan in place to cover meal breaks and provide healthy snacks such as fruit and mineral water on the floors for employees.
